planeflyer21 Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Wasn't there a movie review thread? Anyway, we just bought and watched RED, with Bruce Willis...very entertaining for the whole family! Yes, over the top stunts and what must be computer animation, liberal amounts of blasting and shooting, decent storyline, and a lot of very good actors having fun! I give it the 308AR forum top rating of Five Full Mags! Partially because Bruce Willis is pro-gun.
mineralman55 Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 +1 on "RED". Not a great movie, just plain entertaining, especially semi-nut job Malkovich's character.
edgecrusher Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Love Jon Malkovich's character, eagerly awaiting the sequel on video
Magwa Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Me too..... also enjoyed' A good day to die hard' complete unbelievable stunts but the one liners are more than worth it.....
Robocop1051 Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 I'm trying to talk the wife into going to see the new Riddick movie tonight.
shibiwan Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 I'm trying to talk the wife into going to see the new Riddick movie tonight. Tried doing the same but got poo-poo'ed. Guess I'll have to wait for it to hit HBO or Blu-Ray/DVD. :( -S

Magwa Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 I am most definitely going to see Riddick.... wife will go too we both loved the first two.....
jrtMA Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 I watched Riddick last night. There were mixed reviews by people when it was all said and done. I think you sort of know what your getting when you pay for a movie like this though. I enjoyed the movie. I thought it was better than Pitch Black and I might be one of the few that actually enjoyed The Chronicles of Riddick. I would say Riddick did a good job bridging the gap between the two types of films as they were a bit different from one another. The acting was typical and the one liners fit the movie and weren't too cheesy. The CGI was good but not great. I think the low lighting helped the look a lot.
unforgiven Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 I liked the Chronicles of Riddick. One of my favs.
jrtMA Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 I liked the Chronicles of Riddick. One of my favs. haha...thanks, bro. I thought I was it. Every single time someone comments about that movie it seems it's bashed. I have seen it about 4 times. Every time it's on cable I can't seem to change the channel.
unforgiven Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 ^^^^ You'r not the lone ranger I do the same thing. <laughs>
