I can only imagine how it would be in the AR platform. Kinda makes me moist just thinking about it.
Wolfgang1952
How about the Marlin 444 or the 45-70 Government sense we are dealing with basically a Government type weapon.
Oz
AR platform chambered in 7.62x54r to shoot the cheap mil-surp stuff. That's like shooting 1/2 price 30-06.

Rsquared
Maybe. But that would be a pain in the balls trying to clean an AR after shooting the corrosive stuff.
Jgun
I've been looking at the 300 WSM cartridge. The COAL is close to that of the .308 Rem, and if you could rechamber the .308 AR barrel and counterbore the bolt .065", it might fit in a standard .308 AR receiver. Only other thing I'm thinking you'd need to make it work would be an adjustable gas block to tune the gas impulse. Question IS, would the 300 WSM cartridge feed from an unmodified .308 AR mag? Maybe one of the Knights steel mags vs a magpul plastic? Anyone have a few 300 WSM rds they'd be willing to sell?
Dane Armory
JGUN, My 300wsm and 270wsm work ! Modified PMags hold 8-10 rounds. Upper has to be modified, bolt also. Talk to Tom he has shot it. Look for my old theads.
