sliverflinger Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Reporting in from the wilds of SW Wy. I think I did this earlier but tagged it onto another guys post. Retired miner, past participant in the survivor south east asia game. Collect WWII era rifles and almost any caliber beginning with 6.5. I'll be getting my first LR308 this weekend ( if Jim can make it down from Rigby). Other time and money pits are flyfishing, bowhunting, handloading, and maybe metal detecting. I live in a town where up until recently you had to drive 70 miles to buy a pair of socks and driving 300 for dinner and a movie.Driving 500 for a football game when you have to be at work the next isn't unknown. I've ghosted around this sight for a while and liked what I've seen.
Armed Eye Doc Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Welcome from unfrozen Texas. I hope it thaws out enough for you to get and enjoy your new rifle.
Rsquared Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Welcome aboard sliverfinger. I plan to call your state home someday. Screw this East coast.
sketch Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 Welcome aboard! What kind of mining If you don't mind me askin? That's a hard job no matter what.
sliverflinger Posted January 9, 2014 Author Report Posted January 9, 2014 I was a trona miner. Ran longwall shearer, continuous miner, and buggy. I'm hoping for snow as I still have a late elk tag. This is when I miss bowhunting, the weather is(usually) a lot nicer then.
washguy Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 Hi Silver welcome from another old guy in Texas :) Wash
