shibiwan Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) Very nice purchase... I know where you're going with the red/white/blue stripes but from here it looks like the Russian, French, or Dutch Flag. Edited February 8, 2014 by shibiwan

FAAWrenchBender Posted February 8, 2014 Author Report Posted February 8, 2014 Very nice purchase... I know where you're going with the red/white/blue stripes but from here it looks like the Russian, French, nor Dutch Flag. Great comment.......... ::)
unforgiven Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 I likey that setup.Barrel is unique. <thumbsup>
FAAWrenchBender Posted February 8, 2014 Author Report Posted February 8, 2014 Without an optic or mag, it tipped the scales at nine pounds seven ounces.
FaRKle! Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) -VLTOR buffer tubeThis doesn't make sense to me unless you have REALLY short arms. Why change out a proper AR-10 length tube for a compromised short one??? I also have a stainless 5R 16" barrel with a Surefire B662SSAL/RE Did you have Karl do work on that barrel too? How much does Karl charge for dimpling? I'm planning on sending my 18" SS barrel to Marvin Pitts for dimpling soon. Edited February 8, 2014 by FaRKle!
shibiwan Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) Big fan of the FDE/desert look. How is the cerakoted plastic doing? Wonder how durable it is on plastic. I'm considering the same for I miss the look of the made-over Edited February 8, 2014 by shibiwan
planeflyer21 Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 Very nice rifle! French flag…looks just like it!

A standard AR10 spec buffer and spring do not play well with the UBR. Other barrel is essentially a factory LMT, it was turned down just enough for the Surefire mount. Bought it this way, no idea who machined it.
FAAWrenchBender Posted February 8, 2014 Author Report Posted February 8, 2014 As far as the wear on the CeraKote, just picked this up today. I am sure it will hold up better than paint. The SOPMOD will be replaced with a UBR........soon.

So you bought the VLTOR tube so you could buy and use Slash's heavy buffer combo prior to getting the UBR instead of sticking with the stock setup till you were ready to make the whole swap? I think we're all guilty of being impatient to use the parts we'll want in our "final" version of our rifles :D. Sh*t, I already bought the VLTOR A5 spring and buffer I'm going to put in my MWS' receiver extension when I put it on an AR15 and swap my MWS to an UBR lol. Edited February 8, 2014 by FaRKle!
FAAWrenchBender Posted February 8, 2014 Author Report Posted February 8, 2014 Nope,.......the VLTOR buffer tube and Slash's buffer were in an Armalite that I am getting ready to sell. these parts were swapped. Make a bit of sense now?
DNP Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 I'm starting to pick up what you're layin down. Nice looking rifle. Congrats on the adoption.
FaRKle! Posted February 16, 2014 Report Posted February 16, 2014 Did you pick up your MWS from this shop, or are you selling yours already? This one looks identical to yours, down to the same guy doing the barrel dimpling.
FAAWrenchBender Posted February 16, 2014 Author Report Posted February 16, 2014 This is the same LMT,.......same seller, but it was not bought off GB.
FAAWrenchBender Posted February 19, 2014 Author Report Posted February 19, 2014 Found an 18" stainless barrel at a reasonable price.
FaRKle! Posted February 19, 2014 Report Posted February 19, 2014 Found an 18" stainless barrel at a reasonable price. The used one from M4C for $500? I almost bought that (before my senses kicked in and told me I didn't need three barrels... lol)
FAAWrenchBender Posted February 19, 2014 Author Report Posted February 19, 2014 Yep.....that would be the one.
Sharkey Posted February 19, 2014 Report Posted February 19, 2014 Nice stick man. I'm JUST starting to save for my next one. Gonna be a while. How's the Benelli treatin ya? Give it the beating it deserves yet?
