So, this coming weekend...

I plan on getting some sand in my crack.

Meeting up with DNP for another dune trip.  One of our friends from Cincinnatti is making the trip west, and his dumb a$s hasn't been out to the sand with us since 2006.  This will be another "gathering" based on someone being out west, and it's a target of opportunity.  All told, there will probably be a dozen of us in camp, so we'll get some pics up here after the trip.  If there's a way to get some helmet-cam footage, that will be up here, too.

Stay tuned...  <lmao>

This is what happened in '06 - jump gone bad, and there is NO slack.  If you want slack, cut the rope...  <lmao>

Bigfoot sighting...

Just got home from the grocery store. We are set food wise again. Plenty of good snacks. I can't wait again man! It just won't be the same without NJC....yeah, I'm gonna miss him. Wish Sasquatch was here too. Any chance he will make Halloween?

Speaking of Halloween...Rob, set aside some hours to get down here. Big trip around then with some Okies that always make it a good show.

Back now, truck unloaded.  What a damn great trip.  Couple visitors from out of town, one from Cincinnatti and one from Alaska.  I've got more than two hours of GoPro vid to upload, so that'll probably take me a week on my blazin' slow connection...

Man...that was a bitchin trip. Tom's son really impressed the hel outta me this time. He's getting to be a very good rider and was helpful around camp. It was awesome to see Tom and our other friend from Phoenix, Dan. The Eskimo thought he was making a surprise visit, but Tom could smell the whale blubber and seal guys on him as soon as he hit camp. He popped out of the truck and said "where's the Eskimo?" Or it might have been because I slipped in a phone call. I thought he missed it...damn. Cincinnati boy made his first trip out since about 2006 or so. He's been busy getting his degree in mechanical engineering, so I guess he's got a good enough excuse. Killer people again, great food...and of course some wonderful sand adventures. Most of you here need to definitely come join us next time.

I've been putting off buying a new vid cam, only because I can't find my older cam since I moved last summer.  Right before I left work on Friday, I grabbed a GoPro Hero 3+ Silver Edition setup...

...and it is badass.  I'll have some great vids of this weekend to put up, but it'll take me a week to upload all of them.  I'm working on one right now that won't be up until tomorrow morning.  When they're all up, some of the riding will make someone here motion-sick...  <lmao>

This weekend was about old friends, and I think we were very, very successful - the Ohioan and Eskimo had a blast.  Stories were told, memories (good and bad) relived, food was unbelievable, campfire madness was right where it should have been, and we polluted the planet right-proper.  Couldn't ask for more, than hanging out with great friends.

,,,and getting the rides on vid.  <thumbsup>

Sweet!  How did you get the wind noise so minimal?

Just the way that camera is.  There are two back covers for it, one for "< 100 MPH" and another for "> 100 MPH" - Of course, I'm running the one for "over 100mph..."

<lmao>

That camera is so badass I picked up another one today.  Seriously.

Zero editing software, brother - none.  That's the whole clip that I had, uploaded to YT just as it came off the vid cam.  The cam is easy as hell to use.  Push buttons, hear beep, ride...  It's even easier than a shot timer...  <lmao>
