planeflyer21
Pretty gruesome firsthand account of how not to handle a firearm. Kudos to the dude for owning it and sharing. http://www.cracked.com/article_21858_what-its-like-to-survive-point-blank-blast-from-shotgun.html

jtallen83
Should have just shot the crook first then dialed 911, a good example of what sympathy for ignorance will get you............and an example of the thought process that has contributed to the pollution of the gene pool.............If more crooks were shot stealing battery chargers then there would be fewer crooks......stupid touchy feely liberal crap will get you hurt. mrmackc
Hey 911 dispatch, we gotta problem out here in the mesquite patch. We need a debuttie sheriff and the medical examiner and send your slowest ambulance too. A sleaze bag has bled out on my driveway, again. hunterbob
My report would be , "send out the police and fire dept cause a car is on fire, that some thieves were in. same thieves just tried to rob me and I was in fear for my life , so I shot them all. Please bring me more ammo too because I am empty.... "

planeflyer21
A decade or so ago, TPD shot and paralyzed a kid who stole an earthmover. They said they were fearing for their lives. Hard to argue with the logic of 20 tons moving at 25 mph being dangerous.
Magwa
A sad but true story, flash back 51 years I had not thought about this for a long long time I am 14 have my 12 gauge and going duck hunting with friends before school we arrive at the place and start walking accross a field to a earth dam (ducks on other side we are going to surprise them) their is one fence to cross and I start through the third and fourth strands I always just use my gun and push down the wire and go under as I am coming out the other side BOOM! my gun catches a piece of wire on the trigger and fires a load of number 4 shot 1 inch in front of my left foot the hole in the ground is smoking and I am scared $hitless I realize at that moment what I had done ,the rules of gun safety I had broken but I was lucky it missed me by a inch....from that day forward all fences ,all guns unloaded and layed on ground on other side.... I still get scared remembering that day and how stoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooopid I was.....
blue109
Did something similar about 11yrs old. Pheasant hunting with my uncle with an old break open 20ga. Dog hit on a bird a ways up and I started jogging. Cocked the hammer back as I got close and two steps later...BOOM. dust cloud right in front of me. I still think about it sometimes. was a good lesson to learn.
