It's only been a year and a half but I got a call and email today that I have been selected to get a 1911 from the CMP. I had to change my FFL because my usual dealer has died. I will call them back on Monday with payment and see what grades they have available. @NTXshooter don't give up. It can still happen.

My first thought would be to make sure it is well lubed and shoot it some more before making any big changes. 30 rounds is not enough to break it in enough to determine if there is a problem. It looks like he has a rifle buffer system Most places don't screw up rifle buffer systems. It wouldn't hurt to weigh the buffer though.

They do not include a barrel nut because some people will put it on a receiver other than AP. They can work with Armalite pattern receivers if you choose the correct barrel nut. According to what I read on their site, that is an additional $20 when purchased from Aero. If you have an M5E1, you do not need the barrel nut.

@Rsquared I bought some parts from a small online shop called Tactical2r.com. When I got this last order, they sent a sticker with it that I believe you will appreciate as much as I do.

I think it is the common misspelling of the word "sale" which is what you hope to find when buying more parts.
