  1. Old school cooking tonight. Marinated chicken thighs over charcoal.
  2. I would raise a glass of maple syrup if I had one.
  3. That is awesome! Shilen is about 20 miles north of me. I will own some of their barrels eventually.
  4. Never apologize for who you (we) are...enablers of the worst kind.
  5. Here is the real story behind the incident. It does exemplify why you don't come up to a horse from behind. https://toronto.citynews.ca/2016/10/18/video-shows-police-horse-kick-woman-who-slapped-it-at-queens-homecoming/
  6. Happy birthday!
  7. It's hard not to watch that over and over.
  8. A C130? On an aircraft carrier?
  9. Welcome to the forum.
  10. Anyone who wants to do one a little different can build one with a Shilen barrel via Dedicated Technology. http://www.dtechuppers.com/ar-15-custom-barrels.html
  11. Just don't bring your wife, especially if she can shoot better than you. Don't ask me how I know.
  12. Welcome to the forum. Before you start assembly, you should measure the inside depth of your buffer tube, the length and weight of your buffer and the length of your buffer spring and how many coils. This is a common area that is a source of head aches in 308AR builds.
  13. They've been married almost 12 years now.
  14. I said the same thing on the Full30 forum earlier.
  15. I have had no issues with the upper I got for my 450 from BCA.
  16. Without BCA https://www.bearcreekarsenal.com/6-5-grendel-18-stainless-straight-fluted-heavy-barrel-1-8-twist-mid-length-gas-system-12-mlok-split-rail-upper
  17. I found another article that made me wonder what @308kiwi has been up to lately. https://www.secondamendmentdaily.com/2020/05/new-zealand-govt-claims-it-can-extinguish-gun-owners-property-rights-by-decree-what-could-go-wrong/ The Latest Bad News For NZ Gun Owners Meanwhile, New Zealand’s gun buyback program ended last December. The whole thing was an abysmal failure, but we digress. But when gun owners went to turn in their guns, they were also told to hand in their ammunition. That wasn’t part of the edict, and gun owners weren’t compensated for their ammunition. The Council of Licensed Firearms Owners brought a lawsuit on behalf of gun owners who were collectively out tens of thousands of dollars. But a the High Court heard arguments this week that said the government doesn’t need to compensate gun owners. The Government’s legal team argued that the “Government extinguished all property rights of any kind” for gun owners when it brought in gun law reform last year. And it got worse! The legal team said that they didn’t even have a legal obligation to compensate gun owners for their GUNS and only did so as a kindness. Their claim was that the government only has to compensate for confiscation private property if they’re going to USE the private property. And since the guns weren’t going to be used by the government, no compensation was required. Crown lawyer Austin Powell said, “If the property is taken for a purpose it is an acquisition and it must be compensated, and in New Zealand law, most often, it is.”
  18. His first and only wife is 37, I think. She was 25 and my brother was 42 when they got married. They got married in the same church and by the same priest as Susan and I did 19 years prior.
  19. My brother is 54 and has a 2.5 month old daughter. That puts him at 4 with the oldest being 10. Happy father's day to you and all of the dads.
  20. I don't know if they both pull from the same distributor, but both show to have 116 in stock. https://redriverreloading.com/outdoor-store?route=product/product&product_id=274856&p=Hornady-Match-6mm-ARC-108gr-ELD-M-20&r=ammoseek https://www.ammosupplywarehouse.com/east/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=31375
  21. I would not rule out the gas block as the problem. If it was not torqued properly when installed, it may have been aligned initially but moved with increased heat and recoil. I had this exact problem with a 223 complete upper build. It took me a couple of tries to get it to stay put.
  22. You will get much more appropriate recommendations if you start a dedicated thread with your info and questions.
  23. That was an awesome interview. He even held up a large frame AR towards the end of it.
  24. Welcome from Texas
  25. Welcome to the forum. Is this a factory built rifle or one that was put together from parts? If factory, can you post a link? If assembled, please post a detailed list of parts. Either way, can you post a picture of the malfunction? I will say to begin with, that large frame ARs like heavy lube for the break in period.
