  1. Welcome to the forum from Texas.
  2. Yes I did. But it was something I wanted in the first place. So it all worked out.
  3. I just succumbed to the temptation. I avoided this sale for 4 days, but the damn thing kept calling me. You didn't even put a link to it. I showed it to Susan and saw d I had been thinking of an AR in 9mm. She said "You might as well get all of the them", meaning varieties of AR15s. I don't think she understood what that meant. I give no intention of attempting that. I hope this works with a binary trigger. I guess I'll find out.
  4. @Rsquared, did you not explain the rule to your son?
  5. Will this be his introduction to "the rule?"
  6. Rather than simply giving financial aid or leaving a large estate to our kids, a better legacy is to raise them with good values and habits from which their future lives would be built upon. And one of the greatest gifts we can give them is enabling them to grow up financially responsible and independent. That is the final paragraph from an essay about making kids financially responsible from an early age. Who would have thought that teaching actions have consequences to kids could be a good thing?
  7. My dad's oldest brother went on the beach just after D-Day. I have heard that he was in mine detection but have never talked to him about it myself. He is a quiet and serious man, even at almost 98 years old now. He still lives in his own home with his son. He is sharp as hell and was one of the key people that found and excavated this: https://texasbeyondhistory.net/horn/ That generation has a different mindset that is rare these days. It was born of hard work, sacrifice and dealing with adversity and coming out on top. Just like losing WWI heroes, losing these men and women will make the world a worse place.
  8. Looks like a great time and nice fish.
  9. Welcome from Texas
  10. I was surprised, but the buffer in my AR57 is only 4.85 oz. The BCG is 12.4 oz though. I didn't think to check the spring and I'm too lazy to go back into the safe.
  11. Welcome to the forum. @Larry B I don't think anyone here has a 5.7 Banshee. I have an FN and AR57 but that is all that I know of here. If you don't hear from CMMG, I would visit a 5.7 specific forum like https://fnforum.net/forums/fn-five-seven/#/forums/34?page=1 or www.fivesevenforum.net. You likely to get a more informed answer there. You can also try asking this guy. https://eliteammunition.com/. He is a custom 5.7 ammo manufacturer that also works on guns. If you find an answer, share it with the group. It may cross over into one of the other Banshee platforms. Information is always a good thing to have.
  12. Good dog. He probably had to lick it's own a$$ for a while to get rid of the taste.
  13. It's only money. You'll make more. Wait you just had a new son. How do you have money? You know the weight listed on diapers is not how much crap they can hold, right?
  14. Don't use the sharp end of an axe head like @sketch did on his 458.
  15. Yes it does. I won't complain though.
  16. Let me know when you have one of these.
  17. Hang around a little longer and you will enable yourself. Ask me how I know.
  18. Tromix has some awesome service.
  19. SQUIRREL!!!!!
  20. Welcome to the forum side of things. I'm sorry to have missed meeting you. The Mrs. and I had a last minute change of plans. We plan on being there this year though. If you are who I think you are and find yourself in Texas, let me know.
  21. Glad he is doing well and safe.
  22. Hank has a look that says "This picture better not end up as a meme on the internet."
  23. Just a thought, but he may be busy with riots and protesters at the moment. His area was hit pretty hard as well.
