  1. You got my vote as well.
  2. I didn't see an expiration date, but here is a link to the webpage. Maybe someone can get some use from this.
  3. I tried once and nothing came of it. I will try again. Between my wife and I, it totals ~$800, enough for a new gun.
  4. She has been for 25 years now.
  5. This is what my wife got me as an early anniversary present. :love4:
  6. Everybody rise
  7. Good to know he's still kicking.
  8. There's been no word for a couple of weeks. I was just wondering if anyone has an update how Drew is doing.
  9. That may have been a little more than a double charge.
  10. Welcome from South of Dallas
  11. 30-23,who would have seen that coming?
  12. This may be a repeat. I had heard it before. A couple was invited to a swanky costume party . Unfortunately, the wife came down with a terrible headache and told her husband to go to the party alone. He being a devoted husband protested, but she argued and said she was going to take some aspirin and go to bed and there was no need for his good time being spoiled by not going. So he took his costume and away he went. The wife, after sleeping soundly for about an hour, awakened without pain and, as it was still early enough, decided to go to the party. Since her husband did not know what her costume was, she thought she would have some fun by watching her husband to see how he acted when she was not with him. She joined the party and soon spotted her husband cavorting around on the dance floor, dancing with every nice woman he could, and copping a little touch here and a little kiss there . His wife sidled up to him and being a rather seductive babe herself, he left his current partner high and dry and devoted his time to the new babe that had just arrived. She let him go as far as he wished... Naturally, (since he was her husband). Finally, he whispered a little proposition in her ear and she agreed. So off they went to one of the cars and had a quickie. Just before unmasking at midnight, she slipped away, went home, put the costume away and got into bed, wondering what kind of explanation he would make for his behavior. She was sitting up reading when he came in, and she asked what kind of a time he had. He said: "Oh, the same old thing. You know I never have a good time when you're not there." "Did you dance much?" "You know, I never even danced one dance. When I got there, I met Pete, Bill Browning and some other guys, so we went into the den and played poker all evening. But you're not going to believe what happened to the guy to whom I loaned my costume.”
  13. You have all reaffirmed my beliefs. I still wouldn't open carry even if it was legal in TX. And most people with a firearm don't know how to use it well enough to do any good. I would likely include myself in that category to some degree. I shoot as often as possible, but I don't train for those situations like I should.
  14. Man openly carrying new gun in Gresham robbed by armed man http://www.kptv.com/story/26729956/man-openly-carrying-new-gun-in-gresham-robbed-by-armed-man I am not against open carry. I just don't think it makes sense for me. I prefer to keep mine concealed. It seems like it would make you a target to those wanting to do harm, ie., "We're going to rob 7-11. That guy has a gun showing. We need to kill and disarm him first." I have been wrong before and could be wrong here. But I was never in the military or law enforcement and am always willing to learn. The kid (21) in the article was young and apparently not ready for the responsibilities of carrying a firearm in public.
  15. Welcome from Texas
  16. That was awesome.
  17. :binkybaby:
  18. If I were catching fish kike that, I would keep at it as well. Just think of it as cutting down on the food you will have to buy. Then you can afford more ammo the next time you go shooting. <thumbsup>
  19. I will make it a point to patronize this place the next time I go visit my sister-in-law in Hot Springs.
  20. Here's where I usually shoot. It's my dad's land north of Abilene. It sucks that it's about 5 hours away from me. We've got a couple of places where we shoot. This is where we can sight in rifles. There is a bench behind the tree at 25 yds where we usually shoot pistols. This is the same target but at 200 yds. This is on another part of the property. We shoot at a 1X4ft steel plate at 125 yds. That is my uncle shooting with his Ruger Single Six 22LR. He hit the target 3 out of the 6 times. He was in WWII in France and can still shoot better than me and my brothers. This is the longest targets we have set up - a pig and turkey at 300 and 325 yds. It is about 75 degrees to the right from the previous target. This was taken from on top of the covered bench we were building at the time. This is the pig at 300 yds, turkey at 325 yds and me and 3 of my brothers in the mostly complete bench. We hope to add a few more targets out there at other distances. Due to the terrain, it would be hard to get anything much further away on the property and still be visible. I tried to put full size pictures in line with the post and almost broke the website. <laughs>
  21. I will see if I have lenses that I can duplicate that effect. It looks cool.
  22. LOL
  23. Very nice. I like the free state flag as well.
