I hope it was another left wing lunatic, though I’m worried about a few things they mention. First the suppressor. (Anti thinking): Those are bad and must be done away with. People in the building were not alerted to the gunfire. 2- He was armed with many magazines. New anti-gun attack. Can only own one magazine per gun and if you have multiple firearms that accept the same mag, they must all share the single one. And of course it should only hold 7.5 rounds.

You could do the math. Solve for volume before and after. The weight will be the same ratio.

If you decide to build, I would avoid the GII as 98 said. Pick a standard DPMS or Armalite based platform and run with it. Post up with what you’re thinking. PSA has been hit and miss, Aero seems to be pretty popular without too many complaints. Tons of others out there. If you watch for deals, you could probably meet you goal of 1500 with a decent rifle and have room for some nice glass. Keep Primary Arms in mind for the glass. They have some nice models at reasonable prices depending on what you’re after.

Keep it we’ll lubed. It took a a hundred rounds or more before I stopped having issues with mine. Lock up was spotty for the first few mags. My receiver was known to be problematic with Pmags, but after a bit it doesn’t seem to care any more. There are a handful of things that can lead to the lock back problem. Watch for signs of anything that doesn’t look normal. Feed it some ammo for a bit and see how it breaks in. If it’s still having problems or if you see other signs of wear and abuse where there shouldn’t be...work those out. I wouldn’t change anything until you know it’s not just being stubborn with the break in. Good looking set up, enjoy!

Check the usuals. Gas tube location, buffer weights, get real crazy and check the size of the gas port. Work with any other ammo so far, or is this the first he’s run? Edit- get more info. Tube depth, rifle specs, bought whole, changed anything? Etc. There’s probably a half dozen things it could be. Start with the easy ones.
