If you want a 16, I'd shop for an upper with a 16 or just assemble from scratch. The 18 is a good length too though. As for the specific question, if both barrels take the same diameter gas block, and both are mid length, you would have good odds. As long as one of them doesn't have a funky length on the gas tube dimension. I have not reviewed the links to verify the data of each, but with that ammo you should be able to research the two a little.

It's all me. I am so close to finished with this thing. I promised to get it out tonight. It just crashed on me. If I just lost a bunch of data in gonna throw a computer off the bridge on my way home.

This is my 4th project. The first few weren't as bad because they were entirely my work. This one, I have to fix and replace a bunch of their work too...and that's creating my issues. I essentially deleted everything they had and started working it back up, but I've run into some styles they were using that I can't figure out how to change. A guru will probably show me a one click method....even google can't solve my issue. Which scares me. I must be the only dumbass that can't figure that problem out.

Nope. The city requires their work to be performed native in Microstation. They reject conversions.

First off.....FCUK Bentley and Microstation. I cannot for the life of me figure out why anyone uses this crap. For some reason a lot of the DOT's use it and for some dumber reason our city survey department has a hard on for it too. There is a reason that over 90% of the private sector uses AutoCAD...it's soooo much more user friendly and way easier to use. Granted Microstation does have a few neat tools and supposedly it's great for corridors(which I guess explains the DOT's). I have a city project I'm working on. All my job included was verifying the city's survey work and creating a base file for some design work. The city product is garbage. They all are. It's so damn hard to make anything look like their product. Getting work to be that ugly is actually more challenging than doing a good job. Of course they have major blunders in it that have to be fixed. The problem is that to fix it you have to pretty much redo a bunch of work that was already done. I'm running into some issues and need to find someone who knows a bit about the software. Any Microstation Guru's on here? I'll start by saying I'm sorry if I have offended said Microstation guru with my rant. Obviously I am not skilled enough in that software and that is likely the root of my frustrations. Help....hellllllp!!!

You're about to get a dozen different opinions. Brace yourself. Carbine buffer tube is if you want a short collapsible stock. If you haven't ordered the barrel, I agree that a mid length gas is probably a better option. I have rifle length on my 16 and love it. However, some will say one over the other for different reasons. Post up what you have, what you want to have, and what you plan to do with it.

Yep. Contracts are nasty. I believe RUAG will prevail in this case strictly on contract language. It's difficult to know all with just what has been provided, but if they did not have the contracts worked out it would be easy for RUAG to take any money paid and apply it to the defaulted ammount. I hope they can get things worked out for themselves at PRIME and I hope the claim that RUAG is intentionally trying to destroy them is false. Business decisions are being made by both parties and hand shake deals are a dangerous way to operate when working with borrowed funds. Pay attention to your contracts, and have a good attorney on your side reviewing everything before you move. You'll spend way more trying to fix it after if you don't have a good plan in place up front.

Wow. Contracts are a nasty tool sometimes. I hope it all works out for them in the end.

I've met a few that can't operate a shovel. It's sad to watch.

The Ryder is a little tough for the 4 year old. He can't quite load it himself, and doesn't aim very well yet. Nerf was a good choice.
