Similar for me. I have a few AR mags loaded. Everything in the safe is sitting at rest. Handgun is the only thing out of the safe and it's got a loaded mag in it with extra mags nearby. Not chambered. I have a boy who is almost 6 who knows not to touch it, and a very curious 17month old who I can't trust. If I don't have time to chamber a round....I wasn't going to have time anyways. Same goes for getting startled awake. If I'm not awake enough to chamber one, I'm not awake enough to properly identify the target and I'm probably already screwed. I don't worry about the springs in anything. If it's a concern, they're cheap. Change em out every so often if you need to for peace of mind. Being that none of my guns are kept cocked, I really only need to worry about the mags.

Ronald and Make a wish took awesome care of my cousin when she was diagnosed with cancer at 2.5 years old. They gave her 5 weeks to live and with the help she got she faught 2.5 years. So many charities and people who donated were so very helpful to her whole family.

Might be worth taking it apart and getting some dimensions. Detail out the barel nut. The Aero upper should be fine, but check all of the thread dimensions and maybe someone here can compare. I'd go with Shepp and say a phone call to the machine shop that made the rail could be a good start. It's possible they've seen the issue before and might point you in the right direction fast.
