  1. This article they use a Flat wire spring , (Tubb's ) for the rifle to work correctly with the 260 Rem. with the Powder you are using . When you drill out the Gas Port , you should use an Adj. Gas Block as has been said . http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2014/12/260-remington-in-the-ar-10-platform-a-smart-solution/ if you have not shot Factory ammo from this rifle , which DPMS has it set up for , I would be reluctant about drilling the Port out , if its not necessary , where a Buffer Spring change is all that is needed & I have a couple of the Tube's Flat Springs & they work great . A lot less work & expense http://www.davidtubb.com/ar10-tubb-parts/bufferspring-sr-ar10
  2. Has there been any factory ammo shot through this rifle & if there was , how did it work ?
  3. So , we fire back when fired upon , interesting , same attackers? https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/obliviously-huge-deal-us-navy-201336151.html
  4. Have you tested Tac or Varget with the lighter bullets ? There is plenty of loading data on them.
  5. That looks like it will work , I like the large backing plate & one for the outside of the HG also .It would be nice if they had one concave for the round HG. I'm sure the Plates could be modified .
  6. See if any of these will work http://www.brownells.com/search/index.htm?k=sling+swivel+studs&ksubmit=y
  7. All the Beaches got screwed up from below Daytona all the way up north , between the Atlantic to Intercostal & US 1 . A lot of storm surge & flooding . I was within a foot of being flooded by the two retention Ponds behind my house , never seen them that high & I've been here about 13 years & many Hurricanes . lost a few Panels from my Green House & we been here done this many times , if you batten down the hatches , you have no worries . This house has been through a bunch of them so I wasn't worried about it , just the flooding . 60-70 mph steady winds & gusting higher & raining sideways for a day or so , you just don't go outside.
  8. To me, the 2 extra grains of the same powder , with the same Bullet , same Barrel ,would produce a much higher barrel pressure & would cycle the action with much more force with the higher gas signature . Saying that , it is possible that the larger charge of Powder in the case , could actually lower chamber & barrel pressure ( before the Gas Port ) , because more powder is burnt ( or unburnt ) farther down the barrel . Different cartridge case volumes & Bullet diameter's can produce some odd characteristics . I would try different power (s ) , magnum Primer maybe , if possible , I know nothing of this Caliber , so I have no experience with Powder choices . Is the recoil more stout with the ammo & its extra Powder charge ? Making the Port larger would be last thing I would do , because you can't go back , not that the end result wouldn't need it done .
  9. There is a thread around here somewhere that had an issue with a pitted new DPMS barrel & it shot bad groups , just bringing that up , he used a bore scope to see the bad rifling . I for one , do not like risers with rings on top , one piece ring or mount on an AR Uppers Rail , too many variables with multiple attachment points . -Make sure the Barrel is seated correctly & not loose . - Use a known ,good shooting scope & ring or mount combo , with good , name brand ammo for testing . - What Trigger are you using ?
  10. Damn , lost Power , Generator broke a Rocker arm the first night, just got power back last night( almost three days) & my MacBook pro would not boot up when charged , finally found a way to start it on the net using my wife's laptop . Hope everyone else on the east coast is OK .
  11. Looks like no slots on the bottom of the HG to put anything ,MLOk or other wise . Needs to be drilled out & a custom or universal stud can be used . The one in your post should work , though I personally would like to see a wider foot print on the backing plate . Never heard of this AP Custom co.. . Also , do you have a pre 2009 rail height on your Upper receiver ( High ) , Because your rail height on that HG will not match up with a Low , post 2009 DPMS rail height .
  12. Have you tried a different NoGo Gage ? Or take it to a GunSmith & let him use their's , if you can't find another known good Gage set.
  13. Ya that aluminum its weaknesses .
  14. Photo's of the Hand Guard . There are many ways to attach a Sling Swivel Stud , if thats what you are referring to . Need to see what you have , I assume you have an Areo Precision HG .
  15. Thats a Cruse Missile , certainly large enough war head to make that kind of impressive hit & damage & I'll take bet's , people died in that ship , unless it was a drone ship .
  16. O'Butthead will not do a thing , he's been kissing Putin's a$$ for years , O'Buttfuk wants some of that Russian Howitzer , in his man cave . Its all smoke & mirrors , has the blessings of the Commie's in the WH.
  17. Sorry , can't help myself anymore with the Scum Democommie's .
  18. Ya & its well seasoned by then . Screw Starfuks , the owner backs Hitlery !

    Big Trouble

  20. 98 , is that like a Beaver attack ?
  21. Contact your barrel manufacturer as you have done & send them your Bolt & Barrel , they are good to work with . One other thing , I have seen bad Head space Gages before here & I would use another set , before sending anything back.
  22. Those ships like the USS Cole have an Aluminum super structure , but have steel Hulls . I was on the USS MacDonough DLG 8 & it was the same way . Now the USS Strong DD 758 I was on, was the Last ( Destroyer ) to see combat in WWII & still in commission , now that thing was all steel ,but paper thin from so much use from scrapping all the rust off & repainting , which was probably the only thing keeping it together The way that Missile tracked , I think it was an antiship Missile which would do a great deal of damage to an all Aluminum Ship . I used to watch them test the SA Missiles on the DLG & they tracked similar to that , they almost looked like they were crazy , till they locked on , & then they would track the target , no matter what it did . It still could have been a TOW type , as I said , just hit something stored on board . I thought that ship was converted to a ferry ?
  23. This is great . http://holykaw.alltop.com/komodo-dragon-hunts-squirrel-san-diego-zoo
  24. I find it hard to believe this was with a hand held missile , maybe a TOW type or the missile hit a fuel tank or it was an anti ship missile . https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/photos-former-us-navy-ship-184406551.html
