No paint , wall to wall Zombie targets .

Its been reloaded , you can see the resizing & chamber marks on the case & of course the bullet , as said, is not NATO spec's . Could be some kind of wild cat round . The round , the way its set up , will definitely not chamber in a 260.

First off , I can tell you that some AR's don't like lead tipped bullets / spear point bullets. I can see from the first set of photos that the bullet is pushed into the case . This is usually a magazine problem ,but can be a mag catch issue also ( too loose ). Have you tried other mags ? Different manufacturers ? I have an early CMMG lower build that will not work with the Pmags ,but will ,with all of steel mags out there . With the Pmags , it does the same thing as yours or just misses the round altogether. You say you had no problems with Winchester ammo ?

As usual , the above postings, are right . The rifles you have are Quality rifles & don't let the internet arm chair ninjas tell you other wise . As long as you keep your rifles clean & lubricated , you will be able to give them to your grand children . Parts ware out in any rifle , can you make your rifle better ? That depends on what you think is better, sure , you could put a more expensive barrel on there , BCG , Rizal dazzle coating or treatment, but that's not saying its going to shoot better than what you have . As said above , the triggers are the where its at & the person behind them . A good after market trigger will make you & the rifle ,better shooters.

I have not looked at there sight lately & checked out the 300 Blackout lowers . If any one is looking for one . I may drive down there myself & pick one up. I ordered two of there flat top uppers today . https://www.tacticalmachining.com/

Looks like a hand load to me . You can see the sizer or forming die marks on the case. Its close to a 6.5 x 55 mm Swedish.

I believe all manufacturers frown on reloading , per warranty info . Now that I said that , its a crock ! I would not shoot much ,if I had to buy loaded ammo. Go for it , just don't tell any manufacturer that you shoot reloads , if you are sending a firearm in for warranty work. How would they know , unless you told them.

jlaw I'm agree with Retired Jm, that statement about moving the gas block had me rereading twice to make sure I read that. The gas block may be off the shoulder a few thousands because some are designed to have the hand guard cap fit between it & that barrel shoulder. You were not clear of what type of hand guard you have , but getting those gas holes lined up , between the gas block & gas port in the barrel is crucial to the function of the gas system , not to mention , as said , secure. Dusty44 You will need to , at a minimum, full length size the brass for a semi auto rifles , to permit them to feed reliably. I use small base dies ,because I shoot the same reloads in mutable AR's & no two chambers are alike.

Should have no problem loading that .458 with the RC & just about any thing that will fit in it , very reliable press. We all said at one time , we well not need or want a progressive reloading machine & you can load precision ammo from a good progressive press , no problem . I do still use my single stage for some operations with certain cases , but most goes through my Dillon now.

They will sell more rifles , because of this . Its about time they jumped on the band wagon . I might be interested my self . There are only two reasons I don't own an Armilte rifle , one is mag. compatibility & the other is being able to swap uppers & lowers with the DPMS type rifles I have . Well one is out of the way & its a big one . Just being able to use the same mags as my other rifles , interests me . A future AR 10 build , nice !

The only ones getting $$ back are BO supporters ( Zombie's ), not us . -
[Range Gear] Did I miss a memo on what is acceptable?

Well , down south , as you have described ,you won't be wearing one of those bench rest jackets for long, unless you want to pass out from heat exhaustion . If you really think about it , you would get strange looks from some with one on, down here. Use what ya need to make through the range session . We have a small tree one one end of the line ,on the 100 yrd. range & its benches are prime area to get on . I shoot at a FOP range & it is really laid back from the public ranges , civil & a lot of good people . The only time I dump mags is when I'm testing some thing , be it a rifle or magizine , ammo is costly now a days . I take that back , I dump mags in the Mac 10 a lot & so do others that shoot her. She just doesn't get a lot of range time any more . Come to think of it , don't remember ever putting the selector on semi . If your rifle or pistol can't dump a mag with out malfunctioning ,it will fail you when the SHF, so to me , its a test. -
That's good to hear , Bigness. I put the AR 10 mag release in mine also & it did tighten it up , but this CMMG lower will not work with Pmags & I am going to live with it that way , as long as the steels work . usadaytrader Does the bolt stay back on the last round fired ? One thing else I would try is , load the mag full & don't use it for a week & see how it works , I had some luck with some of the Pmags that way , but upon leaving them unloaded the same FTF occurred . Makes you wounder if the mag springs on the PMags are too stiff in some cases. They have a very long spring in them . I will not be altering any of mine ,because they work fine in my DPMS build .
-
Photo's if ya can , including the base stampings.
-
They will let you know if it bothers them . My 16" 308 got quieter after I installed a Vltor brake /flash hider on her .
-
Nice work . <thumbsup>
-
I now see why you want a S/S BAD safety.
-
If you can't find or get a Cproducts mag., let me know & I will send you one to try out . Hell, even the DPMS mags I have work in my CMMG lower . Your DPMS Mags can be tweaked to work ,in most cases.
-
No issues at , works fine , no funny ware patterns or any thing like that . This build with the CMMG lower gave me fits until I got the Bolt stop fitted to work & this lower will not work with PMags , period ! All steel mags works flawlessly .
-
Any markings on the base ?
-
In my case with the CMMG 308 lower , its the Magpuls do not work with there old lower receiver design . They have a new type on there new rifles they are selling & the Pmag works well . Any steel mag I put in her works fine , just not Pmags. For all I know they ( CMMG )might of had a bad run or lowers when they first started to make them . Have you tried different mag's , including other manufactureres ?
