  1. I did notice that no mention about breaking weight of the stages .I thought about grabbing one myself . I haven't had the time to retest my James Madison repaired Trigger yet , its back in the 25-45 Sharps AR , just run out of time at the range twice & had it with me . I was concentrating on not dropping my P320 both times
  2. Bushnell muckt be dropping their AR line of Scopes or are updating the line of Scopes . This scope for $ 99 , I may be ordering one for a 308 , there are also other outlets that have it for the same price , optics planet , Amazon , Walmart & others . https://www.natchezss.com/bushnell-ar-optics-rifle-scope-4-5-18x40mm-drop-zone-308-bdc-reticle-22-7-3-fov-3-7-er-matte.html
  3. Interesting Trigger at Brownells https://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/triggers-parts/triggers/ar-15-fm-9-match-grade-competition-trigger-nickel-boron-sku100026160-113316-210919.aspx?sku=100-026-160&utm_medium=email&utm_source=marketo&utm_campaign=2017_12_07_newprod&utm_content=newproducts&mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiTW1NeFlURTNOelptTW1JdyIsInQiOiJjR2g2WVAzN3pQbUx1SW1QRWNMTmZobHBhSVBDRVg2VFdabXl6eGhlVnJCZ1lrOVMyNVloN3VxWDBTUnRhZGoyTXFvTDgrZStKNFJBaTZ2cnlQT3pkMm05UWRZOUppWDJJcXFTQTZ2azFqWGdKRzdGeExpS0t5M0IrVG5XS09mTSJ9
  4. Tucker ( In Vegas ) , fox news , had a Lawyer representing some of the Victims of the shooting , said that she thinks all the silence of facts is because of the Power of MGM , Victims were attending , so they are liable for a lot , just let that sink in for a minute .
  5. If the Bolt is Head Spaced properly , its locked in place , that would be the only thing I can see that would be a factor . Bad HS could hinder accuracy & that could be dangerous also . All else considered , the Barrels Chamber , Barrel rifling or type , Cartridge loading & nut behind the Trigger are the factors for good accuracy .
  6. Ya beat me to it .

  8. Yes on both , I have a couple sets of the Warne QD & love them & their fixed sets also.
  9. I think they will out price what I'm willing to pay for one , but we will see . I was sent an update or correction from CMP today , I have to read it to see what was added or changed .
  10. Good stuff , I ordered the Complete Mission Fuel Kit -JB ( just black ) , AK 47 ( express ) BB ( beyond black ) SS ( Silencer smooth ), I get ground , I had gotten Beans from them at first , I like the fresh smell & taste of freshly ground , but it tend to be a hassle sometimes . They dont charge any different to get ground .
  11. I find for myself , the one piece mounts don't work for me, all too low , but I have several sets of the Burris XTR Rings & they are built like Tanks . I just installed a set of the Leapers POI Ring sets on my Wife's Carbine & they are well made , nice looking Rings & made in the USA . Some really like the one piece Mounts . You cant go wrong with Burris Scopes or Rings , I have a bunch of Burris Scopes & love all of them . I have an 2x7x35 E1 with the E1 reticle & its great . I also like the Ballistic Flex .
  12. Interesting . I was there earlier this year to pick up some Receivers & they were starting to move the Manufacturing business down the street to a larger one room building , so it will take some time to get all there machines moved . When they are all back up to speed , I will try to get a photo op of the Business.
  13. Reminds me I'm out of their Coffee .
  14. This above is the only one, so far, that has shown a need for BUIS , but its something I would expect in a combat environment over time & probably why so many Combat issued Rifles have Iron Sights , not Scopes .
  15. More on how CMP will distribute 1911's . CMP 1911 Information To all CMP constituents: The CMP Board of Directors has discussed at length how the sales of 1911s would be handled, if the CMP were to ever receive them from the United States Army. Some preliminary decisions: Decisions concerning the grade and pricing of the 1911s will not be made until inspection has occurred of a substantial quantity which will take an estimated 150 days post receipt. All laws pertaining to the sale of 1911s by CMP will be strictly obeyed. Potential purchasers will have to provide to CMP a new set of documents exhibiting: 1) proof of U.S. Citizenship, 2) proof of membership in a CMP affiliated club, 3) proof of participation in a marksmanship activity, 4) a new form 2A with notary, 5) successful completion of a NICS background check, 6) a signed copy of the 01 Federal Firearms License in which the 1911 will be transferred to. The CMP customer will be required to complete a form 4473 in person and successfully complete another NICS check by the recipient FFL holder before the pistol can be transferred. Qualified CMP customer will only be allowed to purchase one 1911 per calendar year. No 1911s available in the CMP stores, or on line, only mail order sales. CMP will set the date in which it will accept orders for the 1911s. The date will be posted to the world. Orders will only be accepted via mail order delivery. Orders will only be accepted post marked on the date or after, no early orders. Once CMP receives 10,000 orders, customer names will be loaded into the Random Number Generator. The Random Number Generator will provide a list of names in sequence order through a random picking process to CMP. Customers will be contacted in the sequence provided by the Random Number Generator. When the customer is contacted a list of 1911 grades and pricing options that are available will be offered for selection of one. As CMP proceeds down the sequenced list less grade and pricing options will be available. Again, this done completely random. 16. Welcome from Florida .
  17. OK , I have to ask this about BUIS , Just how many here have had to remove their Scope or had to use their BUIS ,because of an issue with their Scope ? ( not practice or a practical choreographed shoot )
  18. Don't get it ? What don't I get ? You hunt your way & I hunt my way , to each their own . The only Animal that suffered ( only for a few seconds ) was the one I shot the leg off of & he was dispatched almost instantly with the follow up shot , its never meant to happen but does , when you walk in others shoes & see how hard it is to not go to a Hunt where they breed large racked Bucks for those who can pay for it , where you can pick & chose what you take , like a petting farm . I'll take any shot I believe I can make , its my decision & my experience that I can make it , I'm taking it , running , standing still , walking away , all the same to me. I dont want anything to suffer & I have ate many Deer tags in my time ,because I couldn't get a shot , that when I get the chance , I take it . I love Hunting & enjoy myself every time I'm out there & also enjoy watching the wild life , but when it comes to taking a shot , I'm stone cold , I think of them as the enemy & they are going to die ! I have spent many , many ,ten hour days in a Tree Stand & never see a Deer or come close to getting a shot , do that for four or five days straight & maybe your attitude might change , maybe not ! Have you ever Bow Hunted ?
  19. IMR 4064 is probably the best all around .30 cal. med. to large case cap. Powder out there , its just a bitch to measure in Powder measuring devices & is why I get close with the Charge wt. , then as said above ,( for Hunting or Target loads) , I finish by trickle charging to my load spec's . I use IMR 4064 a lot for the Hunting loads , temp. doesn't seem to effect it much & it shoots real good in Semi Auto or Bolt Guns . I just like the Ball Powders for my military type rifles , meters flawlessly from any of my Progressives or the Powder measurer .
  20. I disappoint a lot of people in life , so I don't take it personally any more ( maybe I never did ) I'm a Killer , plain & simple ,& I hunt with extreme prejudice ,any way I can take an animal legally is fine with me , when I hunt its for the meat , not the thrill of it all , though I do pass up a lot of shots & only take those I know I can make & since I have I am just about the only one who comes home with meat in camp on a yearly basis , I guess I'm must be doing something right , because I don't have to track wounded Deer , but have for many others. I'm no Horn hunter , never was , when I'm in the woods with a Firearm Hunting , I'm a cold blooded killer & need meat , where I hunt ( Private land, over 400 acres , I'm a family friend ) you don't get many chances in the one week only Gun season & I live 1000 miles away from my Hunting grounds , I don't pass up much , as long as its mature . I always thought those who pay that much $$ for a Hunt , are executive hunters & they play by different rules .?
  21. Depends on if you want a retractable stock or fixed Stock , oh , I'm sorry , ignore me & wait for Wash
  22. Texas Lung shots work , a couple of seasons ago , I shot at very close range at a Buck & he was hauling a$$ & blew his left front leg off at the Knee , the follow up shot was him running straight up a ridge , away from me & the only time I had clear shot in the woods was aiming at his neck , well it entered just past his punch & came out his throat & stoned him . The loss of the leg didn't seem to slow him down at all . I just couldn't let a wounded Deer go , so I took a chancy shot & lucky it worked . Weapon was a DSG with Hastings rifled Barrel with cantilever Scope mount on a Remington 870 mag. 12ga. I also shot a real nice 10 pointer on the run with the same set up in the 2014 season . I have that mount on my wall . While we all like to have a Deer stopped , its not always the way we see them , where I hunt , hunting pressure has them on the run most of the time . Just have to lead them . I would also go with a 16" bbl. , your not shooting at long range , so the 6.5 is really not needed , the 308 is plenty of power for the thin skinned Whitetail . You can always change what you don't like down the road one you hunt with the rifle a bit . While most talk about a light 308AR , once you put a scope , sling & ammo , they are all heavy compared to a Bolt Gun .
  23. You may be confusing the DPMS/SR25 thread Pitch 16TPI of the Barrel Nut & Armalite's AR10 which is 18 TPI , below is a link to Raley's corner who was a top Armorer with Armalite with all the spec's you want on the Armalites rifles . https://forum.308ar.com/topic/11450-technical-specs/ And by the way , that JP Hand Guard is one of the best on the market .
  24. Sounds about right , I wasn't going to purchase any of their products any way .
