Are those Walther's made my S&W or are they from over sea's . I ask this because my PPK/S is made by S&W , at least thats where I sent it in to for a recall . I had many that were made in Germany & wish I would have kept one of them .

That will do it . I would set the shoulder back some more if its not damaged . If damaged , you can pull the Bullets & re-Size the Case properly & may need to be trimmed again. Not sure what you meant by the roll crimp & Taper Crimp dies . I have found that the Roll Crimp for Bullets with a Cannelure & a Taper Crimp or Lee's Factory Crimp Die on a Bullet with out one . You can use a Roll Crimp on all ,but you really have to be careful.

Ya ,when they are illegally used to kill innocent people , buy people who had no legal right to have them , other wise , they are just another rifle . The Politicians just don't get it , but they don't care . Same old story . -
Here is an a quote from Brownells on what you really need for it to be a Pre ban . " When the law was signed, the various manufacturers were caught with shop floors full of rifles in some stage of assembly and the BATF made a slight change in how the law would be interpreted. Previously, a rifle was a serial numbered receiver. After the Crime Bill became law, they defined a rifle as an assembled rifle, or a parts kit together as a package. That means, if you were making AR’s and had 5,000 finished receivers in inventory, but had only enough parts to assemble 1,000 receivers into complete rifles, you now had 1,000 Pre-ban rifles and 4,000 Post-ban receivers in your shop, even though the receivers were manufactured before the bill had been signed into law. To make things even worse for identification purposes, the serial numbers may not have been in strict numerical order. Also, add in this additional complication: if you as a retail customer or dealer had a lower receiver on hand that was manufactured before the law was signed, but you didn’t have all the parts on hand to assemble it into a complete rifle, you could not now assemble it into a legal, Pre-ban rifle. If you had all the parts on hand before the bill was signed into law, you could still assemble it into a legal, Pre-ban configuration. If someone comes into your shop with a box full of parts, and wants you to assemble it into a rifle, you had better see the invoices for the parts so you can verify that they were all purchased before September 13, 1994. Without invoices to prove when the parts were purchased, it would not be legal to assemble it into a Pre-ban rifle. However, if he has invoices to prove all parts were in his possession prior to the signing of the Crime Bill, then it’s okay to build it. Can you fit a new upper to a Post-ban rifle? Sure. If it is a parts kit with a threaded barrel you’ll have to cut off the threads and grind or file off the bayonet lug." So in other words , he better have documents that it is .what it is , for your sake . Here is the whole " Tech Tip " for your reading , it talks about AR 15's , but pertains to all AR's for the Ban . http://www.brownells.com/userdocs/documents/bt002007.pdf

I seem to remember that there was a Thread here on something like this & an AR 10 Upper would not fit this Lower , its proprietary to ASA ?

I though I read somewhere that Congress or Senate had something on changing the HIPAA law to have Mental Health records submitted to the NICS data base , this would be a good start , but not enough. I'll see if I can find it . Unfortunately it probably will & may have repercussions on the Fed. level . The Court System needs to be changed also , you can't blame LE , they can only do so much , but this guy & the Texas shooter , should have been locked up with no bail until they were evaluated mentally . I know some are going to say , "what about his rights " well you can only go so far with that , look at their history , they had plenty of rights, plenty of chances to change , I say , what about the rights of those they killed , just look at the history of these POS's ! The only one that doesn't fit their history or profile is the Vegas shooter , but of course , we know nothing about him or his life , strange isn't it ? There is something about this , so called millionaire that is not being said , maybe there is another shooter out there .

This Country needs a major Mental Health over haul or this will keep happening .If he has had mental issues all his life why was he released on bail & not mentally evaluated & kept in a mental facility , where he should have been before he stabbed his neighbor ? We all need to suck it up & also wake up , that something has to be done with these people before we lose or second amendment rights , because that where this is going . Ghost guns are going to take hit on this one .

The Plank may not work on some of those fellas , even if they are tied up .

We all know that banning high capacity mags thing is pure BS , 5 rds 10 rds , 20 rds, 30+ rds , doesn't mean a thing , if someone wants to shoot people , they will just have multiple firearms or be good at reloading them . They want all firearms banned , period ! This would be the beginning of it . I'm in no way going to get rid of my twin SS BlackHawks in 45 Colt ! Besides ,they dont need no stinking evil high capacity Magazine things -

My P320C came home today , Trigger feels smooth & not change in break , 6 1/2 # -
I also have a Criterion Rifle length gas in a 16" Barrel & it works just fine with all loads , no issues . Trigger is also one of the more important things if you want good ,consistent groups .
-
As above , did you trim the Brass ? Improper shoulder set back will cause issues with chambering , it is why the Case Gage was mentioned . I use LE Wilson Case Gages .

Another weapons ban for the frakenstine ! On Wednesday, Senator Dianne Feinstein introduced S. 2095, which she is calling the Assault Weapons Ban of 2017. The 125-page firearm prohibition fever dream is perhaps the most far-reaching gun ban ever introduced in Congress. Subject to an exception for “grandfathered” firearms, the bill would prohibit AR-15s and dozens of other semi-automatic rifles by name (as well as their “variants” or “altered facsimiles”), and any semi-automatic rifle that could accept a detachable magazine and be equipped with a pistol grip, an adjustable or detachable stock, or a barrel shroud. And that’s just a partial list. “Pistol grip” would be defined as “a grip, a thumbhole stock, or any other characteristic that can function as a grip,” meaning the ban could implicate even traditional stocks or grips specifically designed to comply with existing state “assault weapon” laws. Needless to say, semi-automatic shotguns and handguns would get similar treatment. Also banned would be any magazine with a capacity of greater than 10 rounds or even any magazine that could be “readily restored, changed, or converted to accept” more than 10 rounds. While Feinstein’s bill would graciously allow those who lawfully owned the newly-banned guns at the time of the law’s enactment to keep them, it would impose strict storage requirements any time the firearm was not actually in the owner’s hands or within arm’s reach. Violations would be punishable (of course) by imprisonment. Owners of grandfathered “assault weapons” could also go to prison for allowing someone else to borrow or buy the firearm, unless the transfer was processed through a licensed firearms dealer. The dealer would be required to document the transaction and run a background check on the recipient. Should lawful owners of the newly-banned firearms and magazines decide that the legal hazards of keeping them were too much, the bill would authorize the use of taxpayer dollars in the form of federal grants to establish programs to provide “compensation” for their surrender to the government. This bill is nothing more than a rehash of Feinstein’s failed experiment in banning “assault weapons” and magazines over 10 rounds. Except this time, Feinstein would like to go even further in restricting law-abiding Americans’ access to firearms and magazines that are commonly owned for lawful self-defense. The congressionally-mandated study of the federal “assault weapon ban” of 1994-2004 found that the ban had little, if any, impact on crime, in part because “the banned guns were never used in more than a modest fraction” of firearm related crime. Don’t let Dianne Feinstein infringe on our Second Amendment rights with a policy that’s been proven to do nothing to stop crime. Please contact your U.S. Senators and encourage them to oppose S. 2095. You can contact your U.S. Senators by phone at (202) 224-3121, or click here to Take Action.

Its not most of them I'm talking about , although if you spent any time working in a Nut ward , you would wonder how some of these people are even functioning in our world. Its the long term Mental health facilities we used to have , is what we need again . This POS was , from what I read ,was court ordered to a Mental Heath ward probably in a Hospital ?, because thats pretty much all that is left to send these people to . I can tell you first hand , some of them do not belong amongst us . You will find that everyone of these POS MF'ers that do these shootings have a long list of mental disorders that should have put them in a long term Mental heath Facility , of course , that don't exists any more . There are a few , but very costly & since the States & Fed. don't pay or put $$ into them , we have a lot of crazies running around " Homeless " . Just look at some of the crimes being committed by these "Homeless People " . We just had a older man who was at a Park , enjoying himself with his family , when out of the blue , this "Homeless POS" came up & stabbed him to death . No reason or even why he did it . Of course because of the restrictions of HIPPA , you or I will never know his past mental records. I could care less about his heath , except for the Mental disorders he probably had for a long time & was not treated , just give him some pills & let him back out on the street ! If you don't take someone telling you & everyone else he is going to kill people & not take it seriously , you could be in for a rude awakening . I can pretty much say from experience , that the Vegas shooter also was probably a nut case also & probably had a Mental heath record , but we will never hear about it .
