  1. All other things being good....a 16" mid should be fine with any combo.
  2. Really doesn't matter man. Carbine length gas system 16" 308s tend to be over gassed a little, but on the plus side you won't have issues with weak ammo. Dont need to base your barrel choice on your buffer system. Most people like mid gas for 16s and rifle gas on 18+. A few of us have gone to rifle length gas on 16" barrels with good results.

    Sum of a bfg

You misunderstand. ...hes going to load the bowling ball projo into some brass and fire it out of the BFG.
  4. I do similar mental gymnastics but I try and get the objective as low as possible to the raised monolithic top rail. Sometimes you need to look through alot of mfgrs rings to get the perfect height.
  5. I forgot to check if they are med or high..ill check tonight after work for sure. They are QD in black.
  6. Gotcha..and im the same way. I like getting my scopes as close to iron sight height on ARs as I can. I just sold a set of med warnes. I have another set in the parts box but I think they are high. ill check tonight.
  7. This. You dont need the specs to buy rings. Mock up where the scope feels natural, measure out how high above the receiver that is, and find some rings that match. Im guessing something in a med will work best but it will depend on your scope objective and your head placement. It helps if you already have the scope you plan on using but not necessary.
  8. I stick my pinky into the chamber every time even though I can clearly see its empty.
  9. Vulture reporters got my wife's name from her cousins funeral go-fund-me page and are asking het to "comment". Probably doing that to all the victims families. Scum.
  10. My wife's cousin may be one of his victims. Shot right in front of his house about 1am.
  11. "Same size carrier and cam pin" Does that mean it uses AR parts or proprietary parts that are similar in size to AR parts? I don't have much interest in a rifle full of proprietary parts made by a relatively small manufacturer with a spotty history.
  12. I had a lower from the 70s made by Advanced Armament Inc that was also designated M15. Bam.
  13. Don't forget how hard they sold out after sandy hook. Pulled all the evil guns off the shelf and canceled tons of peoples orders. DICKS is on my no-buy list.
  14. Fair enough. Those carry handles are unicorns. If they were cheaper I'd buy a couple to flip or trade down the line
  15. Nothing discount about those prices!
  16. Lol it does indeed. I call it well loved. Most were done by the previous owner but allowed me to score a smokin deal on it.
  17. Mine are the .75 40L-SP
  18. Pretty cool sight. Has large and small aperture, and also a pistol style notch for up close stuff.
  19. A.r.m.s. inc. #40L They are taller than the KAC rears they replaced, but still plenty of room for the scopes. I traded into these with a friend. Gave him one of my KAC rears and some other parts he wanted.
  20. Got a deal on some A.R.M.S. 40L rear sights. I like the KAC 200-600 alot, but these fit the PRI rail flawlessly. Look dead sexy. Put one on dissy and one on the matrix 308. Want to feel them out a little but I think they are staying on.
  21. All M15s are AR15s, but not all AR15s are M15s :D
  22. Yes...because that's what it is. AR10 is not a type or style of firearm, its a specific brand model. Its not compatible with the majority of 308AR type rifles. As an example of why we harp on this: A member was recently troubleshooting a build. He didn't know that there is a difference between AR10 gas tubes and AR15/LR308 gas tubes. He had a standard tube and needed an AR10 tube....so he went out and bought an AR10 tube....that was the same as the tube he already had because even shops and gunsmiths can't seem to understand that the AR10 is not a generic term for 308 AR rifles. It is a specific rifle.
  23. Wow. You weren't even being a duck and he snowflaked! Wasn't meant to be lol
  24. Factory guns tend to get better prices than builds...but now is a better time to buy than to sell. Prices are on the floor all over. I'd look at the lowest new price for it I could find and list it for 200 less and go from there. Sit on it and see if you get some offers.
  25. I'm sure they still suck to carry to the motor pool...
