  1. And I, again, am left holding the water bucket....................LOL
  2. My wife has a 45 raptor. Its a 460 S&W Without the rim. Only problem is finding mags for it. Uses the same loading data as the 460 S&W. Respectfully Terry
  3. I have put several DPMS bbls on RRA uppers with NO problems! I am pretty sure you can go the other way. But have not done it, myself. Respectfully Terry
  4. What a bunch of bull!!!! I installed a DPMS over the counter bbl on an otherwise "standard" RRA gun and have fired severall hundreds of rounds through it! I did have to modify( file the lips) slightly on several fn mags to insure good feeding, but thats all. It shoots under an inch, all day long! Everything you listed is a bunch of crap! Respectfully Terry
  5. OH! Sorry, you are correct! Let the impartial court system handle them........... And why not bring back life at hard labor?????
  6. I use a strap on pad whenever I' shooting one of the big boomers. Like hot 45-70's or my .458. It even works when shooting long strings of things of anything over an '06. But then again I don't seem to be as immune to recoil as I used to be.
  7. I'm for quietly shooting the bastards, buring them, and forgetting the solution. Respectfully Terry
  8. I apoligse for my abruptness. To late in the day for me to be replying to threads. Befor going on to an 80%er, you REALLY need some basic time with a drill press, and router work. Also basic file work. You really need some basic knowledge in drill speeds, mill feed speed and router work, along with what, and how much coolent/cutting oil is needed and why there are differences. A short course in machine work at your local vocational college would be a great way to start. Respectfully Terry
  9. Welcome! Lots of good people, here! Lots of info, and opinions!LOL!
  10. I have neither the equipment or talent (hate to admit it) to do it. This is machine work. Not what "I" would call "real" gunsmithing. If you truly believe you don't have the talent Why are you waisting time with it? No offense but if someone came to my shop with this attitude I would quickley show him the door. This not hard, but it is something that you really believe you can do.With the " I don't have the talent" attitude your setting yourself up for failure. So why would you expect anyone to invest the time in you???? I'v helped a lot of guys, over the years. But they always had the attitude " I know I could do this with a little help". Just y two cents Again, Respectfullt Terry
  11. Buy that pilot a case of good bourbon!!!
  12. So far I have only tried Hornady match and hunter, in my wifes 6.5 Respectfullt Terry

  15. I rember the ass hat!!!!!!! Got the news my best friend bought the farm the same day Asshat "failed" his induction physical! No loss , as far as I am concened! Terry with NO respect!
  16. To start with lets rember that the BOSS system was used in the 70's and 80's. Expeant accuracy then and now are two different things. Then if you had a sporter rifle that would reliably shoot an 1" group, you had quite a good rifle! Now we expect that. The Boss system worked by screwing in in or out , like a nut on a bolt. Browning held a nation wide contest to find the most accrate Boss equiped rifle. Handloading and the Boss the only things that you were allowed to change. Rifles had to be stock Brownings. BBL's were from carbine length to 26" magnums. The boss worked on all of them. Lots of rifles shot under an inch, one under 3/4 regularly. I don't rember what the winner really was, after all, that was the most part of 40 years ago.LOL! Would they work, today? with all the advantages we now have? Heck if I know. Respectfully Terry
  17. Browning did this on their bolt actions 20+ years ago! It worked but most people were turned off by the big thing on the end of the bbl. They added them to some Win Mod 70's along the way. When they owned Winchester. Hard to find one now. Respectfully Terry
  18. I'v got a bolt for my wifes Rem that needs the bolt handle threaded.   What will you charge me?

    Thanks

    CZ 455

I'v got a 455. Came with the 22lr bbl and a 17 hmr bbl. Bought a 22 mag bbl just to complete the set, So far, I'v never removed the 22 bbl. Haven't really tried it for accuracy but several brands of ammo shot under 1" at 50 yards. So far, I'm happy with it the way it is. OH! I put a Nickon 3-9 22 scope on it. Great light gathering! Respectfully Terry
  20. The no-go gauge is the important one! Without it you can't really tell if the chamber is at specs. A chamber cast MIGHT help with determing neck length and leade. I'v been a smith for a long time and NEVER found small dia chambers like I have in AR[s. Small meaning not large enough in dia. I'v had to run a chambering reamer inot several to correct things. Respectfully Terry
  21. Two years ago this stuff shot great in my wifes 308. No so with the current stuff! Respectfully Terry
  22. The ZQ! dosen't shoot worth S$it , either through my wifes Preditor, or hrt 700 chassie gun. Both guns shoot anything 162-168 into a half inch. Respectfully Terry
  23. Thanks for the replies!
  24. Where do you get kaizen foam? Thanks Terry
