  1. How many ways can you say, Nicccccccccce!
  2. California USED to have a max 20# limit . Per household. I think they probably still do. I know that my brother in law, in San Diego aera says he can only have 20# Max. Respectfully Terry
  3. I apoligise if I seemed to over react. There are holidays that are "hard" on different people. This one is mine. I thank my friends for thier condolences, and I remain Respectfully Terry
  4. I think that there are many holidys that call for celebration! 4th of July, Thanksgiving, etc. This is ONE day that I think calls for reflection. For many years, my best friend, from high school and I , would go out into the desert, alone, and shoot and talk. He was a vet from Vietnam, I was not, being medically exempted. A fact I'll regret all my life. This year, I'll be going alone. My friend died, last year. Respectfully Terry
  5. HEY!!! Its Memorial Day! And all you guys can talk about are Sales????? Try rembering what this day is SUPPOSED to stand for! Terry
  6. Most of the local" ( 50 mile radius) dealers put a 3# max on powder purchases. I just hit the stores regulary, and if I find a powder that I use, just buy what I can. I think I'v probably bought 50# in the last 6 months. A good deal of it from the "local" ( 50 miles, one way) Sportsman wearhouse. respectfully Terry
  7. What is your "normal" powder? Respectfully Terry
  8. Have the tight chamber opened up! The case is still stuck to the chamber walls, and that can easly cause the case to not eject. Respectfull Terry
  9. I'v handled the 69. Its a nice gun! I almost bought it, but when I went back, to do so, it had already been sold. As it turned out, I know the person who bought it. We spent a pleasant day at the range. Shooting everything from 44Russian cowboy loads to full 44 mag loads. My wife had a new shooter with her, ans she wanted to try it. Said it was pretty nice, with the cowboy loads, and fun with the 44 specials. I ahd her double ear plug ( plugs and muffs) for the Mag loads. She didn't much care for them, but said she could handle some in an emergency. I WILL buy the next one that comes along! Respectfully Terry
  10. LOL!!
  11. I'v not posted on this thread, befor. I'v waited, hoping for some pics of those early AR's. some tech help, anything usefull. Some people like to "stir the pot", or use a stick to stir the anthill. I'v been a professional gunsmith for almost 50 years, and I freeley admit to learning a lot from this site. You, sir, have left nothing usefull, and are full of verbage. Please leave quietly, on your own, and leave us in relative peace. Respectfully Terry
  12. I tried to edit my comment, but I guess I waited to long. It wasn't 10 of thousands or rounds, but it was at least 10,000 rounds. It was so many, that my wife and I used them for handgun metalic silloute for over a year, including practicing, without re-loading any 38's. Respectfully Terry
  13. Leo training is something of a "thing" with me. Back in the 70's, a very good friend was the training officer for the California Highway patrol. He went from San Diego to the Oregon qualifing officers. There are always a few who cannot make the qualifing shoot, many reasons. from on vacation to court duty. It still dosen't change the fact that I traded m buddy for 10's of thousands of rounds of 38 +P+,and more thousands of rounds of 12)ga 00buck. LEO's qualifing? I look to the indivual officer, not the whole force. Respectfully Terry
  14. Got the Nikon M308 on my wifes gun. Works great! Respectfully Terry
  15. 17-222. sold the dies when I sold the rifle, something i don't usually do.LOL!! Respectfully Terry
  16. Only $3 each? Lets see, I'v got 92 sets of 2 die sets, and 28 sets od 3 die sets. Don't think I'll be hanging soon. TerryRespetfully
  17. A lot of people like Lee dies. Personally, after a couple of bad experiences, I would not have a set if you GAVE them to me! Sounds like the seating stem is moving in the die. Respectfully Terry
  18. Well, so whats the differince between cut riffling and button??? Respectfully Terry
  19. Again, I will say that I have fired the 308, 223 and 9mm. All fired fine, and no laquer on any of it. seems to reload ok, too. Respectfully Terry
  20. I'v shot it in both 223 and 308. Seems to fire fine. Respectfully Terry
  21. Gun runs fine. EVERYTHING was NEW RRA, except the bbl! Bolt fits the bbl extension just fine, headspace is correct, and the gun functions flawlesly! Respectfully Terry
  22. After carefull checking, I installed a DPMS 260 rem bbl on a RRA lar8 upper with NO problems! Headspace checked out, and metal mags took about 6 strokes with a fine file to make work! Got @200 rounds downrange now, with NO problems! Respectfully Terry
