Got an update today. He had his wisdom teeth pulled on the 28th, which he said sucked big time. He's still squad leader and he won the pugil stick competition! He's only 5' 6" and was 167 lbs when he left, but he is a New Mexico 135 lb. state wrestling champion so I figured he would do good with that stuff. He said he can blow through the obstacle course with no problem too.

Friggin piece of shyte drug runners! There should be a shoot on sight mandate on those bastards! :auto:

I've had some practice, I raised a daughter and 4 stepkids before this one. Now I'm raising 2 granddaughters that we've had for almost 7 years now because their dad (one of my stepsons) is apparently incapable of manning up and taking care of his family! All of my kids have turned out great except for that one, go figure! <dontknow>

Tom, just got another letter from him. He said he's still squad leader and they have their first drill competition in a week. He's hoping to help lead the platoon to their first platoon trophy! <thumbsup>

LOL! I ran into an old high school buddy a few years ago and he had kids in high school at the time. I asked him if he had told his boys about some of the stuff we used to do in high school (a lot of it was street racing and muscle cars) and he said "Hell no, and I'm not going to either!"

We've gotten a couple of letters since he left. He made squad leader right off the bat, and said so far he has outlasted the first squad leaders on all the other squads. He told me something just before he left that struck me as somewhat profound coming from a 20 year old. Nothing to do with him going to bootcamp, but it did impress me. He said "Friends are like change, I would rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies." I still can't get that out of my mind.

It's never a done deal with the UN, that's why we need to support the NRA. They are our watchdogs for this crap. I've said it before here, but it's worth saying again, we need to withdraw from the UN and kick their asses out of this country!

Tom, I had an officer very much like the guy you described. He had absolutely no business wearing a badge, but getting rid of someone like that is almost impossible in law enforcement. I had finally had enough one night and pulled him to the side to have a chat. I told that chickenshit that he had no business being a cop and if he got another cop hurt because of his poop I was personally going to beat his ass so bad that he would be in the hospital for a month if he survived! That worthless POS quit 2 weeks later after being a thorn in my side for 7 years!

I love his refusal to sell to or service any guns of government agencies in California! I have to agree with his reason for doing so too! <thumbsup>
