  3. Sounds good Seasprite! <thumbsup>
  4. Seasprite, if you really don't like those 147 pulldown's I'll give you your money back and pay shipping for them.
  5. Caught this site posted over at brianenos.com. Seems these folks have mags in stock at $18.70 each. http://www.themakogroup.com/product_p/earm30%20w.htm
  6. I agree! Like I said, I haven't heard of anything happening here in New Mexico.
  7. I say keep it too unless it's a decision between the gun or the welfare of your family. There's a certain 4" Colt Python and a 64 Chevelle Malibu that I kick myself in the ass for selling every time I think about them.
  8. My old man was an artist with a belt and mother wasn't too shabby either! Every one of my kids have had their behind's tanned at one time or another, some of them more than the others. I raised 4 stepkids and 2 of my own and they all turned out fine except for one and now I'm raising his 2 daughters. Don't know what happened with that kid, he was raised the same as and right alongside of the others. He's the one that proved to me that kids don't go bad JUST because of how they were raised. A good butt whoopin can be beneficial for sure! I agree with Tom, they need to bring that back into the schools.
  9. Hell yeah, Braveheart and Conan the Barbarian type swords! I haven't heard of anything going on here in New Mexico? <dontknow>
  10. My 99 is holding up just fine too. It isn't a diesel but I've abused the crap out of that truck and it just keeps going. Ram tough! <thumbsup>
  11. You need to start reloading brother. Seriously! <thumbsup>
  12. This is interesting! I wonder how many Sheriffs would actually have the balls to stand up to the Feds! http://godfatherpolitics.com/8806/county-sheriffs-can-block-federal-gun-control/#ixzz2HP5jgHmF
  13. Yuuuup! I remember that fiasco too!
  14. WTF?????????? I thought these guys would have this stuff figured out after the 1986 Miami shootout! They learned a few things from that, but apparently they decided to pick and choose the lessons! After the Miami incident I had my guys shooting at targets from one yard away and only bringing the gun up enough to clear the holster and get on target. (Had to put that at the first part of the course, if we did it at the end of the course with all those bullet holes already in the targets the muzzle blast usually blew the center out of the target and it couldn't be scored.) The FBI has been so far behind the learning curve the last 20 years it's pathetic!
  15. 1911 in 45 ACP for sure! This right here is a good argument for a magazine fed weapon and hi-cap mags. I've got nothing against revolvers but sometimes 6 just ain't enough! Hopefully this POS has the courtesy of not surviving and saving the taxpayers some money!
  16. I have a Choate tube on my 1100 and we put them on all our dept. issued 870's years ago. The only problem I've ever seen with them was one of the 870 tubes separated from the threaded collar while firing. This was after several hundred rounds of 00 buckshot and slugs had been fired through the gun. As far as I know, the dept. is still using those tubes! Tom, I guess your altercation was before I joined as I don't recall it. I'm truly sorry to have missed it, you're really entertaining when you let someone have it! <lmao>
  17. That is a great press, I've had one since 1978 and refuse to get rid of it! <thumbsup>
  18. We are the only country in the world that grants citizenship automatically to any person born in this country. That poop needs to change NOW!
  19. Me too.
  20. I have an "18 on my 308, no regrets there.
  21. Thanks for the links Drew, Looks like I can get what I need from Brownells. <thumbsup>
  22. Excellent advice there!
  23. Okay, I'm going to weigh in on this subject. I was a street cop for 23 years and learned a lot on the job. I picked up a lot of instincts that I know for a fact saved my life on one occasion! Let me state up front, I am not a conspiracy theorist and don't go around looking for conspiracies. I have been following the news reports, youtube stuff and the whole thing in general, and my gut feeling is that something stinks to high heaven here! Without going into all the details just let me say that the info coming out of this incident is badly skewed. As compared to other incidents of this nature, there is a huge lack of any video or photographs of any crime scene and the changing of stories is way beyond just being inept reporting. This whole thing is raising red flags and setting off alarms in my head! There is not any one thing I can point to to justify my feelings on it, but the whole picture gives me a really bad feeling!
  24. I'm thinking about having the barrel on my DPMS LR 308B turned down to a smaller profile and possibly fluted to get rid of some front weight. I have an AR-15 tool, but I don't suppose it will work on the 308 barrel nut will it? If not, where's a good place to get a DPMS pattern 308 barrel nut wrench? The only one Brownells shows is out of stock.
  25. She is what we used to call a 'double bagger'. You put 2 bags on just in case one falls off! :o <lmao>
