No, I picked up a nice 9" handguard for it and figured out if I mount my gas block flush with the end of the handguard it will cover and seal the original gas port (I still might weld it shut though) and I can drill a new gas port .500 further back. Since I have to get a custom length gas tube I figured I would get the gas block back inside the handguard for a cleaner look.

Heckler & Koch used to use fluted chambers that left the same marks in the brass, don't know if they still do that with any of their guns now. It was never a problem for reloading the brass.

I don't like Scotch as a rule but my youngest son has been drinking the Kirkland (Costco brand) Scotch and I think it's pretty damn good as far as Scotchs go.
