  1. Nothing educates more than doing it! So glad it was ego that took the biggest hit and not your peepers .......... think you'll really clean more? I've gotten that urge on occasion but it usually only takes one weapon to revert to my dirty preference. Any damage to the weapon?
  2. Not sure what model the nephew has but he said adding an additional IR light made a world of difference, I think he spent just under $700
  3. Honestly it's a good sign for the Stag large frame not to be called out here. They had to start a PSA thread very shortly after their first try, problems galore. Looks like Stag must put out functioning stuff, be good to have some first hand thoughts on the gun though. Weigh that buffer for us
  4. Yeah, I wouldn't know schit about it............... let it lay and I will, here anyway. Quote me here and here I respond, I'm allowed the expressions of my thoughts on the topic, no statement of fact there just opinion, opinion contrary to the narrative but NOT an uninformed opinion.
  5. No rest for the wicked.
  6. Because you have not supplied a full review with pictures and asked a moderator to find a spot.
  7. Thank you Brother, it's in the build box Some day I'll find something you need, that you haven't already made yourself! I've been searching intermittently for a couple glass tubing cutters, early 1900's era, I know I have somewhere since you mentioned cutting tubes ....... I'll run into them someday after you no longer have a need.
  8. I almost bought 5 just from muscle memory Once I eyeballed that stack of cans in the parts drawer the twitching subsided...... thank god they didn't do the lottery entry thing with those prices. Has anyone done more to improve Americas AR rifle inventory than Mark LaRue and his MBT?
  9. I did laugh, can't decide if it's really funny though................. biting satire for sure.
  10. Welcome from Iowa!
  11. Happy Wife, Happy Life!
  12. Shoot me a PM with details.
  13. I just may have a place for that.
  14. Picture of where you are measuring to? If it is that deep you may need to add a quarter or two so the carrier doesn't hit the ears on the lower.
  15. +1 on the Magpul. I have an Atlas bipod, love it, maybe more flexible than the Magpul in a couple ways when you buy a bunch of accessories but but the Magpul actually has a larger range of movement and you can get three of them for an Atlas if you shop well.
  16. Clean looking rifle there!
  17. The rule..... X Caliber barrels, now that was an educational experience for me, hope others have read the hot mess my 16 inch rifle gas barrel was.
  18. Just getting ready to post that, Kentucky took one on the low setting I'm not gonna pretend to understand any of this but I'm paying attention for sure.
  19. She seams to realize it's just practice, just taps with her pads, no claws, all about the speed it seems. Right now it's just a quick warm up for the morning patrol around the neighborhood, winter boredom will be the test for the TV. Biggest problem right now, I didn't realize cats had greasy paws. Gotta use a big screen for full effect, fire and maneuver training
  20. You better go to a gunsmith, we've never heard of such a problem much less been able to give advice that gets the gun running............ Good job getting the details and pictures posted, this will be great info for the next guy with a similar problem, you know, that guy that uses the search function to research and learn.
  21. That must be one of those features I haven't learned yet, all this tech and Kentucky windage is still my go to system, old habits die hard.
  22. I think I had to give $12-14 bucks, has it gone up?
