  1. I've shot somewhere just over 5,000 rounds of different Freedom Munitions ammo without a single issue. 9mm, 45ACP, 5.56, and 308. Lots of different bullet weights both new and re-manufactured. My single best 200 yard 5 round group ever was with their re-manufactured 175 gr. match load. My last purchase was fall 2014 so I'll have to do some more research before I order again....to bad good things never last.
  2. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Geissele-Super-Semi-Automatic-Enhanced-Trigger-SSA-E-05-160-/271823731946?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f49f4fcea
  3. Exactly, LIBERTY or DEATH!
  4. I don't see this as the public skirting the rules at all. On the contrary it is the government that has skirted the rules starting with that unconstitutional abomination that is the NFA. I can promise you that no ATF agent will get past my door without a search warrant, at least not one on official business. With these continued assaults on Liberty they are doing nothing but waking a sleeping giant. At some point the scales will tip and they will lose the powers granted them by us.
  5. The ACLU should be there to help this guy. Maybe I better get rid of that solvent trap......my maglite.....and that stack of freeze plugs that happen to be in a box lot I got an an auction.......nah, on second thought they can come and take........ :fawkdance:
  6. Another in a long line of failures for the ATF..........
  7. My local VA rep has a copy of mine and other vets in the county stashed in the courthouse records room for safe keeping, I just figured they did that everywhere????
  8. Early on the DEF had a melonite barrel but this is now listed as hard chrome. From the literature I've read it appears the DEF has some die-cast and extruded parts while the CBF claims it has none of these are used. The CBF also has the interior of the upper anodized and "dry film lubed" that the DEF does not mention. That's about all the difference I've seen beside the trigger as you mentioned.
  9. " provided the Blade AR Pistol Stabilizer is used as originally designed and NOT used as a shoulder stock." I wonder if this means firing from the shoulder is a felony or if just the act of placing against the shoulder is the felony?????? IF I were to use one I would simply hold the "brace" 1/4 inch from my shoulder, let the arresting officer prove in court that it was touching my shoulder............. On another note I wonder if striking someone with this brace would make it an SBR???? It could be called a buttstroke..............
  10. Hell Yeah, Ares rocks! A Galoot like me might even be able to handle a 99%'er!
  11. ArmaLite and Sig both sell .308 pistols now, maybe others do as well. I doubt it will be long before the gun grabbers address this.
  12. I would be amazed if congress can muster anything but lip service, they've been AWOL many years now.
  13. They were all pretty new when I rode in them but I'd be happy to jump in ( or out of) one any day. The accidents I can recall were all pilot issues related to the extreme conditions they were flying in. I wonder what the maintenance costs would be on one of these.......
  14. There is a big difference between being tabbed and being in battalion, one is a school, the other is a way of life. Now it's been 30 years since I was around but I doubt it has changed much in that respect. I still don't understand why he didn't think his service in the 82nd was enough to "Bragg" about? ???
  15. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/02/24/va-secretary-robert-mcdonald-reportedly-admits-lying-about-special-forces/ I will give him credit for admitting he was wrong but damn..........talk about an insensitive government. Any bets whether he looses his job? Of all the people on the civilian side of the government that should know better it should be him. Worse is the fact that he served with an elite unit that he should have been proud to claim......maybe he is just confused as to what exactly Special Forces is..........
  16. Amen! Randy Weaver was a homeschool advocate and that was about the extent of his activism. He had pushed for homeschooling in Iowa but gave up and moved to Idaho. Sadly it was 8 years after he left when Iowa finally relented and passed homeschool legislation. The powers that be like to focus on his battles with the ATF and the local court in an attempt to make him look like a bad man when all he wanted was the freedom to teach his own children. Sorry to sidetrack the thread but he was from my area and well known in the activist community then when it came to issues of Liberty. I was just a high schooler but his story left a lasting impression. LIBERTY FIRST!
  17. Ruby Ridge will go down as a seminal moment. from someone that lived in the neighborhood. http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=7383462&q=hi&newref=1
  18. I copied the letter Jerry had with the video and sent it to the ATF as well as all my representatives. It was too difficult to write one myself without cuss words!
  19. Congrats! Grandfather is by far the most rewarding job I've ever had, enjoy!
  20. I hadn't heard of the parts scam issue, this is my first time making a purchase from them........I might have spent another $20 bucks and went with the next higher price vendor otherwise. Thanks for filling me in!
  21. https://www.armsunlimited.com/Magtech-CBC-556x45-MK262-77-gr-Sierra-Open-Tip-p/556c-otm-case.htm I've read a lot of good things on this ammo, both my 11.5 inch and my 18 inch like Black Hills MK262 so I'm hoping it gives me the same results.
  22. I don't recall what they called the night sight on my M-60, this would have been in late 1986, but I could easily mow down the vehicle sized targets at 800 yards from a tripod. The range officer stopped me so the choppers that were coming in would have something left standing to shoot at >:D . I was awarded top 60 gunner for the 8th Division that rotation, I only ranked mid pack while at the 1/75th....... God I loved that weapon <thumbsup> I have to believe todays tech would extend that range a good bit.......
  23. I just love adding my name to the enemies list!
  24. This crap is going on all over the government. The DOT is working on a regulation that would mandate tire registration. Manufacturers will have to serialize tires and then keep track of who bought which tires. They say it is a safety issue meant to insure bad tires can be recalled. Problem is there is a law on the books that makes this a voluntary step for the manufacturer. The DOT claims there safety mandate precludes this law. I've heard the Secretary of transportation say on several occasions that it is to bad they have to work with congress on issues they could manage themselves, like funding.WTF, have they all gone mad or did they just never read the constitution........
  25. Basically their mentality has been to do everything they can to prevent a citizen from defending himself against a tyrannical government, the original intent of the 2nd amendment. There has been a steady march to this beat since the NFA. This will not stop anytime soon no matter how many of us complain to congress. Our answer should follow along the lines of King Leonidas's response to Xerxes when asked to surrender his weapons and live; "Come and take............" anything else will only allow them to march further down this road.
