  1. That's the only mindset that can have with class 3 NFA stuff. No hurry. Mind and eyes open........as well as your wallet.
  2. I think that you mean the Armalite "A" pattern right? Cause it was my thought that only Noveske made thier 308 (N6) that matched up to the prevalent (all-seeing and all-knowing) Armalite "B" pattern. I could be wrong. Don't take my word as gospel. I also think that AeroPrecision made a short run of "B" pattern lowers. Now....with all that being said. Welcome to the forum Pretext. If all of us haven't gotten the point across to you yet. It's pretty much Armalite with thier pattern, and everybody else on the DPMS/Knights SR25 pattern. Both are mighty fine platforms to build almost anything you want, off of them. And.......you can tell from the tag line above my user name, that I'm on the Armalite side. Good luck deciding my man.
  3. Now I'm gettin excited!

    M1 Garand

    CMP ammo.
  5. All kidding aside.....I did take my time when I first ran my SASS. It took a while, but my boy was breaking in a new Rem 700 also. So neither one of us were in a hurry that day.
  6. Nope....I'm not cool with my pictures being put out to the public. Let's just keep making people think that I wasn't there. <laughs>
  7. I'm with you there. I probably did the same thing with last AR-10 carbine that I put together. Couldn't even begin to tell you how many rounds that my son and I have probably put thru that thing. I sorta count it as, my AR-10 beater. It's turned into the kinda rifle that goes to the range with me if I plan on shooting it or not. ..........................................just because.
  8. Outstanding machining there Matt. It'll be interesting to hear back from you on how it runs.
  9. That's what it's all about Eagle. Enjoying yourself......and having a good time. Don't worry about everybody that spouts about "bullseye" this or "MOA" that. Aim....pull the trigger.....rifle goes BLAM. Enjoy it. That's what the damn things are meant for. I was hooked on AR-10's also from the very first time I shot one. M-14's are nice, don't get me wrong....I love those rifles. But there's something about the AR-10 platform that can't be beat. The 15's are nice to "play" with.....but they're nothing like the larger platform. Plus.....the 7.62 puts a much larger hole in stuff. I still laugh with friends. I used to be a strictly older military rifle type of guy (Garands, Enfields, Springfields and such). Now I laugh and shake my head and ask.......when did I become an AR guy?
  10. My old buddy Darwin strikes again. F-ing professors. Like an old steamfitter told me once as a young man......................another mind ruined by a higher education.

I hear ya. Screw that residential stuff. You always seem to be jammed into a little tiny closet......or wedged into the smallest space imagined. I much prefer the big commercial stuff. At least in something like a chiller plant, you can stand upright. I'd much rather be working off of a 10 foot ladder to get on top of a centrifugal chiller, than be jamming my ass into a little tiny closet "called" a mechanical room.
  12. Oh yeah............if only it had the sound of an old radial engine. Those things are BAD ASS (not the levers)!
  13. <lmao> <lmao> That's classic! Too fcuking funny! Lighting you thumb on fire! <laughs>

Yeah, me too. Not anything on the residential side. Except for my own s h i t.
  15. Ahhhhh....close quarters.....just like on a troop carrier.....we'll be ok. As long as there's room for the cooler. <laughs>
  16. Alright. I like it. Looks different. Kinda reminds me of the nose on the P-40 Warhawks. Just me maybe..........................
  17. The short bus can always swing by and get you too my man. People would say..........who's that driving that little bus with the Armalite shirt.......and who's that water-head riding shotgun?
  18. He's on the "list" too. Didn't mean to exclude him. I'm all excited just looking at my new tax stamps. After this long, I was starting to think that I had done something wrong with the paperwork, and that they were gonna be rejected. BUT! Let the games begin................................. Hmmmm.....Let's see now. Just gotta get Rene out here......then Tom.....rent a A-Team van....pick up Matt.....get some chloroform.....kidnap Drew......swing by and pickup JRTMASP......and wind up on your doorstep. GOT IT!
  19. Hell breaker? Haven't heard of that one. Guess I've been fixated on my own projects lately. Details?
  20. Oh....and you've never done that? And it was by accident. My apologies to survivalshop. We can go back to the Black Rain Ordnance talk now.
  21. Well....I've got a daughter. But.....she's a tall girl (almost eye to eye with me). Now I'm an even 6 feet tall. But, she's got an attitude that outpaces mine. So I'm not that concerned.......in general. BUT....with that being said......every guy she's ever dated has ALWAYS been informed that I'm "kinda" into weapons. Between that......and a face to face meeting (scowl of course)....they know that I'm not one to Fcuk with. Even if they do think that I'm an old man (compared to them). As Tom's tacticat is known for saying............................"I will......definitely FCUK you up". <laughs> and then I wipe my brow as those young bastards leave.......... these little bastards are gettin bigger and bigger every year..........
  22. As I said in another thread. After all the kidnapping (gathering of friends).........we're gonna end up at your doorstep. We're gonna hope on that MSP STORM-TROOPER uniform of yours keeping us outta the poke......at last for the week-end. <lmao>

A tip of the hat to you my man. I've been involved in all aspects of the building trades. From the construction side.....to the dealing with the finished product.....to re-fitting older (commercial) buildings. It should make you (us) proud to see what our sweat and determination have built. Even when nobody else even notices.
  24. That all equals LOVE my brother! Don't worry......Rene and I will swing by (in the short bus) and pick you up. <laughs>
