So my son Jon @DayWalker texted me saying that the day that we had both been waiting for since the day that she was born, had finally arrived. Yesterday he took the 9 year old grand daughter out for her first range outing. He slipped an old 22 Marlin that I had given him back when he was a kid into her hands, and let her take a crack at it. He texted me later on in the afternoon saying how she absolutely LOVED it, and how she already can't wait to go back out again. Well fella's. That just makes a grandpa smile pretty wide.
Have I mentioned how that this little girl has had me wrapped around her finger since child birth? I'm just lucky that she hasn't realized it yet.
Hell. Jon and I were talking about getting her a little Rock Island .380 1911. That way she could shoot something that looked like one of her daddy's sidearms. That made me laugh. Especially when I told Jon that we would need to get a picture of her in her firing stance with it, with him standing beside her with one of his full size 1911's.
I'm looking forward to her graduating up to an AR sometime soon maybe. Grandpa can hook the little cutie up.
Carry on ladies.
