Finally made it home.......................on TUESDAY around 1030 hours.......after leaving Toms' on Sunday around 2030 hours. 3 words come to mind. FUK THAT DRIVE! That's it! It's been 3 times now. Fuk that noise. I'll recreate all of my camping gear on Amazon and have it shipped to Tom's house to use at the fall shoots. My sorry ass will be airborn for the next one and stumbling to the rental truck place after getting off the bird. But not the one that Rob used. They probably have pictures of all of us on their walls saying "Beware -- No rentals to 308 AR guys!"

Well, it's about to get real ladies. I've got the truck pretty much loaded with everything but weapons and ammo. That'll happen right before departure. So now I'm waiting on the daughter to show up. We'll hit up some dinner, then it's time to sleep fast. I plan to be wheels up at 0300 heading west.

Sounds like you're on it Boot. You're on the right track to build a hunting weapon. Light and maneuverable. Others around here know better about hunting than I do. Magwa is pretty much our expert hunter around here. I think he uses a standard 16" DPMS carbine. But he can talk WAY more knowledgeable on this topic than I could.

That's great. I know that Kate is looking forward to seeing you two again (as well as I am too). Her and mama bear hit it off pretty good last year. Being that they were the only two ladies there.
