  1. ^ +1...you know how we love pics!
  2. Glad to hear that you were able to get that figured out. They are sending you a new barrel nut ASAP right?
  3. Welcome to the forum from Michigan. I don't have any experience with the 6.5 Creedmoor but others will chime in with their expertise.
  4. I really like my Tikka T3 hunter in 300 WSM. Although, after the first trip to the range my next stop was to buy a limbsaver!

  6. Not to sound snarky but, whatever device you buy should have the installation instructions included. Just follow whatever the manufacturer says. It's pretty straight forward.
  7. An example of this would be installing a "brake" so that the ports are NOT open to the top & bottom of the barrel as this would kick up a hell of a dust cloud when shooting from the prone.
  8. Some muzzle devices require you go orient the ports in a particular way to ensure the proper gas venting, this orientation is referred to as "timing".
  9. There is no real need to use anti-sieze on the the threads there. A good option would be "Rocksette" to ensure the muzzle device remains locked in the properly timed orientation. Even that is not a necessity but it is a nice to do.

  11. LMAO, c'mon Shepp, you'll bruise his fragile sensibilities!
  12. I believe that according to the TM, you are to fully extend the bolt and then place the BCG with the bolt face on a flat surface. If the bolt remains extended the rings are good. If the bolt slides back into the BCG when placed on the flat surface, it is now time to replace the rings.
  13. I believe the flat points are made primarily for 30-30 rifles. I know the average 30-30 bullet weights fall between 150 & 170 grains. You could probably shoot them, but as described above; they may not feed very well.
  14. Congratulations on the new "big brother" to your AR15. Nice groups as well.

  16. Welcome to the forum Chris. Sorry about your luck in the craptastic state of Commiefornia. Lots of good info here!
  17. The big boys don't get that way by being careless. That's a nice looking elk!
  18. Hey Blue, just a heads up, but I'm really liking my Trijicon MRO. It's a fair bit cheaper than the T1 & I feel confident in its reliability & durability.

  21. Sorry for your loss Shepp. It always sucks to lose a good person in your life.
  22. Right on Sisco, glad to hear your surgery was a success! We'll have to get together and shoot this summer. I've moved back to Michigan.
  23. I've always wanted a 50cal but even hand loading the ammo for those bad boys isn't cheap
  24. That looks amazing. Hard to believe the parts were made years apart.
