  1. Not a 308, but..... I can't say enough about my Del-ton upper on my dissy build....excellent quality and 0 problems with it from the get go!
  2. Wash, figured that was our problem....hence the "anticipated" part of the opening statement of my post. And guys.....yup I did learn sumpin from hanging out here....the bolt was dripping wet with Weapon Shield CLP before the test run. It was not a NIB upper, and I think the previous owner had problems......bolt was a dry as a popcorn fart when the kid brought it home. I didn't say anything, but made sure there was copiuos amounts of love juice in there when testing. Bolt carrier showed wear marks from being run dry by previous owner.....more wear than should be for only "100 or so" rounds through it....and dry to boot, no lube on fingers hardly when taking it apart at first.
  3. I have had zero problems with my APF stuff, they were a DPMS supplier for years before they went their own way. And the one time I tried a heavy buffer, it made things worse for me.
  4. Robo..... It is just the little brother that we built...223 not 308, I just used a 308 buffer system in the 223.
  5. And just a bit of bumpfire thrown in with the E-11 blaster for ya....
  6. I would have thought that a 308AR buffer would be heavier than an 223.....
  7. And I just thought of something, with an extremely tight hold into the shoulder pocket, it did work for a couple of rounds, then I relaxed slightly and malfunction immediately.
  8. So my youngest decided to put together an AR15, and we are having some (anticipated) operating problems. When we put the parts into the lower, I just had him use the whole buffer assembly from my 308AR carbine that was in the parts bin. Now it will cycle on first shot, strip next round in magazine, but only put a small indent on the primer (second round). The bolt seems to be all the way forward and locked in to battery, but I am thinking there is something wrong with the buffer weight and timing of the system. Parts list: PSA 16 " mid length upper w/bolt Aero stripped lower APF 308AR carbine buttstock/buffer assembly mixed stuff for lower internals Here is some more information to help or muddy the situation....his mid length upper works fine on my A2 rifle buffer lower, and my rifle length gas system works fine on his carbine lower. I am leaning towards getting a correct AR15 carbine buffer weight and spring and running that in his mid length.....that should fix the problem? Or am I missing something completely off of what I am looking at here?
  9. And I forgot this small point, the writers from Focks (sic) have relied on Feinstein for accurate firearms operation information.....
  10. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/10/05/nra-calls-for-atf-review-bump-stocks-new-regulations-after-las-vegas-shooting.html Slide fire IS going to take one for the team, and possibly other crank type mods also.....nothing much can stop this one. A sacrificial lamb on the alter of public ignorance of what really caused this episode of stupidity.
  11. More reports coming from those around this wholeass, that he was pretty much an idiot when alcohol was added, and a real gem with his "girlfreind" when in public.... ...but a real normal, nice guy from first reports and brother......and brothers statements are being looked at with more scrutiny.
  12. Yeah, it is gonna be hard to get the pic of the "rattle" from the broken parts to prove things on the forum......but one should keep trying
  13. There is soooo many better things to do than wasting time with the foolsball........even before they screwed it up.
  14. Yes, that is! Read it, and my courtesy reply mechanism didn't even kick in...... Maybe next year then!
  15. Those measured results only matter if he had measured EVERYTHING that he used, exact brass/case wall thickness, exact bullet diameter, even having a slight burr in one case mouth can change out readings.... I didn't read the article, but that is what I thought of first off.
  16. believe it or not, I have always said fuque the nfl.....never did care about football much and had more important things to do most days during games. Like sleeping, shitting, watching paint dry, herding flies, things like that. I have said for years that they are overpaid assholes running around with pads playing with balls.
  17. All I had was..... What the f..............
  18. I own 2 Nikon scopes, and they have both performed well for me. Clarity above their pay grade, and solid performers. No experience with your specific model, but the BDC reticle on the rifle scope hasn't been used by myself, it is on my sons FAL currently, and the other scope is an Encore pistol scope used for a Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle years back.
  19. Another Muslim immigrant....
  20. (Cough) ....does not fit narrative....( cough)....accckkk, the narrative....(cough)....help me, someone please, help me lie...(cough).....
  21. ...one is none, and three is a good start!.........
  22. COBrian, not that I am trying to make one envious or anything.....but recoil is less than my 308 bolt actions were.
  23. My dissy in 308. Love it so much, I built my AR15 as a dissy.
  24. Dissy's are my favorites also. Good looking, and also waiting for report. Enjoy it! I reallly like my full length gas system on mine, as my wife's carbine style system is noticeably sharper in the recoil impulse; and now I will get to see the difference between the three long gun types as my son just put together a mid length version of an AR15.
  25. To borrow from the Magpul magazine topic, I am sure that .gov beansliders can find another company to make those copper bullets cheaper for the military boys.....only after doing a study to figure things out of course.
