  6. Well that's all good and fine but as someone having lived on both sides of the equator I need to know if the lower and upper switch if I end up in the southern hemisphere.
  7. So not really a fisherman but this trip was an eye opener to the sport and I had a blast. Day started off slow with a few nibbles but nothing took. Close to lunch the rain let up and Aaron got one on the hook. That ended up being a 5 footer which we brought on board for pics. We settled in and at appox 14:00 I got a bite and it was game on. took about 45 min to land this one on the beach for pics as at 7 ft to big to drag aboard. He leapt out of the water a couple times which was pretty impressive to see. At one point I think the line was caught up on a sunk branch but managed to free the line and not lose my fish. With the sturgeon ist's catch and release only. Time to look at salmon fishing and bring something home .

  17. Prime Minister Trudeau was visiting a primary school in Calgary and visited a grade four class. They were in the middle of a discussion related to words and their meanings. The teacher asked Mr. Trudeau if he would like to lead the discussion on the word 'tragedy.' So our illustrious Prime Minister asked the class for an example of a 'tragedy'.One little boy stood up and offered: "If my best friend, who lives on a farm, is playing in the field and a tractor runs him over and kills him, that would be a tragedy.""No," said Trudeau , "that would be an accident."A little girl raised her hand: "If a school bus carrying 50 children drove off a cliff, killing everyone, that would be a tragedy.""I'm afraid not," explained Trudeau. "That's what we would call great loss."The room went silent. No other child volunteered. Trudeau searched the room."Isn't there someone here who can give me an example of a tragedy?"Finally at the back of the room, Little Johnny raised his hand. The teacher held her breath. In a quiet voice he said: "If the plane carrying you was struck by a 'friendly fire' missile and blown to smithereens that would be a tragedy.""Fantastic!" exclaimed Trudeau , "That's right. And can you tell me why that would be a tragedy?""Well," says Johnny, "It has to be a tragedy, because it sure as hell wouldn't be a great loss ... and you can bet your dumb ass it wouldn't be an accident either!"
