  1. CDNN has dpms owners manuals on their site.
  2. Copy I'll tell him. I texted him the BA link for that barrel.
  3. https://www.theamericanmarksman.com/762-NATO-308_c_307.html This is decent ammo. I have shot a lot of it.

He was out in the weather for 15days. Some days it was 60deg. Animals have been eating on him and he stunk real bad. Truly hate that he was not recovered in a timely fashion. I know now that when they just walk away instead of running away I need to look harder. I didn't think I missed him twice but he didn't act like I hit him. He just walked away. Any other deer I have shot either fell over or ran a ways.

I use Nosler 165gr Balastic tips for my 308 hunting loads in my bolt gun. Never had to look for anything I shot w/that gun and load. Always DRT.
  6. The short buffer MIGHT let the BCG slam into the rear of the receiver.

This rifle shoots those 125's real well. I have some hornady hunting ammo with a heavier bullets that I'll get this rifle sighted in with when I can find more. Only have about 5 rounds of the hornady hunting ammo left. I went through a lot of ammo trying to find a load my other barrel would shoot well. That barrel is sitting on the work bench now. This Wilson Combat barrel shoots great.

I shot him with my 6.5 creedmoor w/125 gr poly tipped winchester hunting ammo. I just don't understand why there was no blood trail at all.

Shot a nice buck opening day. Shot him twice. 375 yds and he just walked away. Waited a half hour or so went to look and no blood or fur anywhere. I assumed I missed. Last night we were looking for a doe a friend shot. Guess what I found. Really saddens me that he was wasted.
  10. Don't put a longer buffer in the 308. That will keep the BCG from coming back far enough to lock back or pick up the next round.
  11. Open the gas block all the way up. Then close it a little at a time till it won't lock the bolt back on a empty mag. Then open back up just a bit.
  12. I bought a new(better) barrel for my creedmoor. When I went to switch the barrels I found where the gas block was touching the rail. That could be why it didn't shoot well. I might have to put that barrel in a different upper and give it a try.
  13. Try a H2 or H3 buffer to slow the bolt down just a bit. If it is locking back with the stock spring you have enough gas.
  14. Your bolt is traveling to fast if it's locking back but skipping the next round. Go up on your buffer weight w/the same spri g you are using now.
  15. Welcome from KY
  16. The hammer needs to be cocked before the safety will go in or out.
  17. Welcome from KY
  18. My blackouts run fine on GI and magpul gen 2 mags. Supers and subs.
  19. CDNN has Bushmaster lowers for $99.00. The 2 I bought fit an aero upper just fine.
  20. Isn't there a notice when you sign up about posting in the intro section? Isn't there a section on how this board works and what is expected? You want us to cut YOU slack because YOU don't follow directions. Probably not going to happen.
  21. 308 sub MOA. 6.5 creedmoor sub 1/2 MOA
  22. Y'all have fun.
  23. It has to be balanced. Gas system and recoil system. 5.5 oz is about the standard carbine type buffer for the 308's. The light ones don't allow the bolt to slow down enough for things to work properly.
