  1. Good to hear. Did you buy the lower w/a fixed stock or the carbine stock. Where does the gas tube end in the cam cutout? The fixed stocks have had much less cycling problems than the carbine stock. My PA 10 w/the fixed stock cycled fine from the factory.
  2. How about starting wide open and close it a bit at a time till it doesn't lock back on an empty mag. Then open up just a bit.
  3. Those are dual ejectors NOT extractors. KAK sells the ejectors that are rounded on top.
  4. Rifle buffer in carbine buffer tube? That is a problem. If you load only 1 round in the mag and shoot does it lock back on an empty mag?
  5. Welcome from KY
  6. I used a drill press on both of the ones I drilled out
  7. Happy Birthday
  8. Put a pencil or wooden dowel rod in the bore. Go slow and use oil. Just take your time.
  9. I had a novice ticket years ago. I need to get a general ticket one of these days. They quit giving tests around here because of the China virus. I have been studying. Dad has radios I can have if I get my license again.
  10. Glad they got something right for a change.
  11. On my PA10 w/the 18" barrel I used this gas tube not the rifle length. https://www.armalite.com/SACItem.aspx?Item=10007005
  12. Ran another 50 rounds through it today. Not 1 problem. This was using the Brownells BCG w/the rounded ejector.
  13. Welcome from KY.
  14. Ok the charging handle shouldn't go "off track" w/the bolt carrier group installed.
  15. I think you are confusing the bolt being locked up so tight with the charging handle being stuck. The 308AR's need broken in. When I built my pistol it was hard to get the charging handle pulled back w/a round in the chamber. Like collapse the stock and bang the butt on the ground while pulling on the charging handle hard. This is not the case after several hundred rounds. The gun functioned ok when shot but not when operated by hand till it broke in. You might try shooting it.
  16. And having remembered reading that advise is why I tried switching to the bolt w/the rounded ejector. Thank you.
  17. I think the different ejector shape fixed it. I was limited on time and only ran 10 rounds with the Brownells bolt. But it ran fine w/the round top ejector. It wasn't ejecting anything after the first 150 rounds that ejected fine. It would eject the brass if I only loaded 1 round in the magazine and would lock the bolt back on the empty mag. I tried 3 different P mags. A 10 rnd and 2 20rnd magazines. Gas block is tight and the gas tube is where it belongs. If it doesn't rain any more I'll get out back tommorow. We will see.
  18. The Creedmoor ran fine for 150rnds. Then it started leaving the empty cases in the action while also trying to load the next round. The ejector is flat on this bolt. Top pic. Switched to a Brownells bolt from one of my 308 pistols. I only fired 10 rounds w/this bolt but it ran as designed. It has a rounded off ejector. 2nd pic. I ordered KAK ejectors that are rounded off for my other 308 bolts that have flat ejectors. I think this will solve this and future problems. Last pic is what the gun was doing. Yes I know I need to clean the bolts.
  19. The creedmoor started leaving the fired brass in the chamber with the next round partially chambered. Ran fine for about 150 rounds then not so much. I changed bolts to one from Brownells that I know works in my 308 pistol. Back to running as it should. The ejector in the original bolt is squared off and the one in the Brownells bolt isn't. I have ordered KAK ejectors for the 3 bolts I have w/squared off ejectors.
  20. That looks like barrel nut meets pipe wrench.
