    If you go with the stripped upper you can put a better barrel in the gun than the one they send you. My factory barrel shot about 1.25 MOA. My Balastic Advantage barrel shoots 3/4 MOA. The PSA upper is the same height as the DPMS high receiver when you are shopping for a rail.

    You will need one of PSA's uppers for sure. Here is a link to a recoil system that will work. If you don't want a carbine stock buy the fixed stock. https://www.armalite.com/SearchForm.aspx?search=308 receiver extension&exclude=&mode=store&index=0&size=20&searchtype=0 Get a good barrel and BCG. The PSA pivot pin and take down pin are their own length. On my pistol I used someone else's pins and they are just a tad long. I have 2 PSA's. One I built and one they built. The one they built has a bunch of different parts now. Good luck and have fun.

    I think the problem is his safety detent hole is just a bit to much to the center of the lower and is pushing the safety back out of the lower just enough. So the safety doesn't clear the trigger. That's how I understand bthe post. Pics sure would help.

    Could be the safety or the detent hole is in the wrong location. You can probably just remove a bit of material off the safety so the trigger will move.

    There should be Sig. 308 piston parts somewhere. They made 308 piston pistols that I know of. Not a great set up from what I have heard. They sold the barrels to CDNN. A bunch of us made impingement pistols out of the barrels.
