I love the Mk12 platform! I'm definitely not in the purist crowd about the Mk12, but I did contemplate a standard 5.56-based build or two and you talked me into using ballistically superior rounds. I'm glad you did, I couldn't be happier with the way my Mod 1s perform.

Yep, and inexpensive too. The kids can get all the practice they want at no additional cost, assuming arrows are tracked and recovered.

Sporting Goods stores have not run out of arrows at any point. Anybody who thinks they can't afford a good 2nd hand compound bow is fooling themselves. Just saying, ammo stores aren't always portable, and won't last forever. Bow and arrow might be a good skill to know if things ever go too far south.

You haven't been here long enough to call anything hysteria. It's a thrill to hear that you're having a positive experience from the outset, but as has already been stated, you're the exception rather than the rule. You're right though, nothing else comes close, most off the shelf large ARs work as they should in the mainstream.

Roger that, I was plugging the numbers for a .936 gas block journal, wasn't real sure which direction the number would be swayed by the gas block journal size.
