  1. Time demands have caught up with all of us at some point, so I understand.... Just want you to know you're missed brother.
  2. Good to see you again Drew! We should upgrade the forum software more often....
  3. I'm pretty sure you're right.
  4. Welcome to our den of folks your parents should've warned you about! You'll be right at home here. We'll return your wallet shortly, it will be conveniently much lighter...
  5. Nathan, any chance we can get you out to the Fall Shoot?
  6. All the more reason to be impressed, no?
  7. That's not impressive, you probably wear clean shorts. Now, if you would've eaten my shorts....
  8. It won't need dead-perfect alignment if he isn't using a gas block that integrates a sight or sighting device. As long as it's fairly close, he'll be OK. Most gas tubes will allow for a bit of side to side wiggle to accommodate gas hole (hahhaha) alignment.

    Hi All !

    Welcome to the forums!
  10. I 2nd SLR, they are great gas blocks.
  11. I've heard reports of snowflakes firing an AR-10 without crying and needing therapy.....
  12. Hello! Welcome to the forums, jump right on in here.
  13. Welcome to the loony bin! Pull up a straight jacket and chain yourself to a wall.
  14. A Gen 1 will typically look like someone got frustrated with it and tried to wrap it around the nearest tree.
  15. Congrats buddy! Come on down and pay us a visit!
  16. Doc wasn't equating Christians in general with Muslims as you've suggested. Furthermore, he is absolutely right. Just a few years ago not far from where I live the FBI arrested an abortion clinic bomber who had eluded them for years and never left the area. He was supported and hidden by locals that were opposed to abortion. When you've hung around us a few years, you'll get a much better understanding of our individual political perspectives, but until then refrain from personal attacks in the public forum. I'm letting it go because of the sensitivity and political nature of the discussion, but don't go calling our respected members morons.
  17. PSA didn't publicly acknowledge it, but lots of folks who had issues saw the initial posts here concerning their issues, and steered newcomers away from them. They took notice and started fixing it with Gen 2 to try and gain a better market share. If they had just done right by the folks that initially had issues, they could've foregone having to market a Gen 2 product. I hope they lose their butts for quite a while over the whole debacle.
  18. 250 rounds of Herter's 12 gauge
  19. Talked a personal acquaintance of mine down off an overpass in Kinney TX, had the local PD pick him up and drop him off with a well-respected psych hospital. He committed suicide in Dallas, two days after leaving the psych facility. Point being, you can go to the far end of the earth to try and help someone, but ultimately it is up to them to determine that life is worth the effort it takes to enjoy it.
  20. If that's the case, you need another rifle. Long range effectiveness and CQB don't really mix and match. Long range accuracy needs rigidity, which equates to weight, and weight is not your friend in a CQB rifle until it's empty and you have to club someone with it.
  21. Outside of getting your fundamentals correct, the combination of a good barrel and an excellent trigger will be the two primary accuracy factors, as far as mechanics are concerned. Your accuracy will never exceed your ability to break the shot when your sight picture is coincident with your intended Point of Impact. That's where a great trigger makes all the difference.
  22. #1. Welcome to the forums! #2. Nice choice of rifle! #3. Please, be more specific about what kind of accuracy you're achieving, and how much accuracy you're wanting to get. #4. Also be more specific with regard to how you want to make your rifle more efficient.
  23. Tubb flat wound in conjunction with an SLR Sentry works really well, as several here can attest. I implemented that very combination on our last group shoot and it worked really well.
  24. Can you make the bolt lock to the rear manually? If not, your buffer may be too long. Ask me how I know... LOL.
