  1. This Leup is a 1.5~4, brother, so you'll never have a true 1:1 with it, if that's what you were looking for. I still got it anyway, and don't mind it not going down to 1x.
  2. Lemme check a couple stores this weekend for another AAC Brakeout. I'm not sure now that I want to unmount the one on the Rem 700 SPS. I can always use another one, anyway. The Spike's Dynacomp hasn't been fully tightened down on the 300BLK yet, so I don't mind ripping that off and sending it. I'll check a couple places on Sunday and try to pick up another Brakeout. <thumbsup>
  3. The kid is a rock star... 639...
  4. That right there makes me want to look into what they sell. I'd gladly purchase from a company that has a moral standing, and intestinal fortitude like that. <thumbsup>
  5. We wrecked Ranger JT's thread, by the way. <laughs> That's just how it is sometimes... <lmao> :threadjack:
  6. Nope, spin 'em as fast as you can from a shorty. You already have limited fragmentation range due to barrel velocity capabilities, so you might as well shoot heavies and spin 'em. Both my shorties are 1:7 twist, for that reason.
  7. You're trying to trick me into something here, ain't ya?... <dontknow> :fawkdance:
  8. Dirk, roll in on Saturday night and you can crash at my place.
  9. Don't look back, brother - floor it. >:D <thumbsup>
  10. Double feeds are two live rounds trying to get into the chamber at the same time - that comes from jacked up feed lips on a magazine, or an over-powered spring in the magazine. Double feeds are mag related. Double feeds are not bolt related, gas system related, buffer spring related, etc.
  11. Want the scope setup for the supersonic rounds, not subs. If I run subs in it, the scope will come off anyway, and a red dot will be up there.
  12. VERY good deal, brother. <thumbsup>
  13. If they're not gonna shut it off, we'll keep voting!
  14. Picked up some new headed decapping pins, after my step-son mangled/broke mine... :stfu2:

That'll all come down to the balls the dealership is willing to risk, during a warranty situation. In accordance with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, in the section that protects aftermarket parts manufacturers, the vehicle manufacturer/dealer must prove in writing that the aftermarket part in question was a direct cause of the failure/reason that the vehicle is in for warranty work. Direct cause. Lemme tell you how this worked for me... 1993 Jeep Wrangler, 3" Superlift suspension system, 33" BFG Mud Terrains, assorted aftermarket bumpers and rock rails. And Currie steering box brace. Damn intermittent wiper control module goes out. After the first two months. Take it to the dealership, tell 'em to get that thing fixed. Asshead at the counter tells me my factory warranty is void, because "the vehicle is modified." I looked at him, said "okay," and left. Went home, dug out a copy of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, and went back to the dealership. Asked that same Asshead to fix my intermittent wiper control module, UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY, and he tells me again that my warranty is void. I asked for the dude's service manager. Now, he gets the service manager, and the guy comes out ready to run his mouth - I didn't even give him the chance... I whipped out the copy that I had, flipped to the appropriate page, and read that schit to him. His mouth was hanging open, when I asked him "How does a suspension lift, tires, bumpers and rock rails cause a wiper control module to go out? If you can tell me, right now, then you can put that same thing in writing. Right now." He thought about it for a second, then says "Sir, can I have the keys?" Yep - get movin', asshead... Not many service managers will put their balls on the line to put that schit in writing. They might try, but trying isn't good enough. They have to PROVE... <thumbsup>
  16. Same here - if you guys can push it to next Saturday, I'll put a 30-cal Spike's Dynacomp in the mail to you. Schit, I'll send you the AAC Brakeout, too.
  17. I'd love to do a Rem 700 with a threaded 16" heavy barrel. I'd put a thread-on can directly on it and leave it there forever.
  18. Just make it a 7.62x35, brother... <munch>
  19. This new Mark AR Mod 1 line is pretty damn nice. The street pricing on it is right there with the Nikon street pricing, model-to-model. I'm very happy with the Nikons I've got, and wouldn't go elsewhere, had it not been for this little Leup. When I compared them all side by side (not the same as shooting them), the Leup was a wide margin ahead of the others, just in my opinion. That's just in the 1-4 range, though. I've got two Millett DMS-1 scopes - they're 1-4, decent glass, illuminated reticle (nice donut-dot reticle that I wish was in more scopes), but 30mm tube and heavy. The price on them is fantastic. Overall, I liked the first one well enough that I bought a second. On this rifle, I would have bought a 3rd, but I just wanted something lighter on this one. I looked at the Vortex, Burris, this Leup, and the Nikon. I'll take the time to do some benchtop side-by-side between the Nikon M-223 4-12x40, and the Leup Mark AR 4-12x40, before I buy either one. That size/range will be the next optic I buy, so I'll come in with some details once I line 'em up. I'll order the top cap for this one from the Leup Custom Shop, and see how long it takes. It'll be 300BLK 125gr OTM, 2215 fps.
  20. Damn, he does own a set of calipers... <laughs>
  21. SS, you need a setup like Hickock45's backyard. <thumbsup> :hail:
  22. I need to get the details in the Lee dies, brother. I've got 13,000 rds of mixed 5.56/.223 brass, so I'm gonna make a couple thousand rounds of Blackout. I'm searching for some type of setup (holder, or something) to make the annealing process a little easier or faster. I'll anneal every one of them just to do it.
  23. Armalite makes a 2-stage (nice) trigger, then the 2-stage National Match trigger - which is a damn nice trigger. I know I'm a Geissele whore, but I've got one of the Armalite NM triggers, and I refuse to replace it with something else. It's migrated through a couple rifles, stayed in the Mk12 for awhile, but it's new permanent home is in the 300BLK rifle.
  24. Awesome! I'll give you a shout Friday afternoon, if that's alright. I'll be taking off sometime late Monday night for the drive up there, eventually arriving in Vegas around midnight. We can set something up for Tuesday morning, for sure. I CAN'T WAIT!!! <thumbsup>
  25. SWEET!!! Now, which Sunday are we talking about? This coming weekend, like 3 days from now? Or, a week and a half away? I vote week and a half - the 12th, I believe. Gives me more time to get some necessary parts here.
