No royalties or paychecks yet, but that oughta start trickling in SOON! <laughs> I did get a sweet hat with the last order, though. <thumbsup>

<laughs> <lmao> I had an old First Sergeant that I called Ned Flanders, BECAUSE of his moustache... ;D Never to his face, though... :-[ Interestingly enough, in those target pics above... there wer only TWO innocent. The rest were threats. The baby in the pregnant woman's belly - that's one non-threat there. What a fucked up situation... :o The miniature girl on the playground, with the older sister, gun-wielding psycho...

I haven't grabbed one from Brownell's yet, because my timing sucks. Everytime I look, it's OOS. Might pick it up straight from Geissele.
-
It's all about training - you'd hate to hear about a group of GIs in Afghaniland that had a woman walk up, asking for help, only to find out that she ambushed them and killed them all when she whipped out an AK from under her burkha... Know your threat, and keep emotions out of it. Looks like DHS is preparing for it.

I'll post it right up - I'm on the list, in order, for the next batch, so one is already mine. Get ahold of Justin @ CNCGunsmithing. Here's his AR45 page, and the newest details are at the bottom of the page. http://www.cncguns.com/projects/AR45lower.html

I'm thinkin tricked out R1. Edit - well, it's not the R1, that's for sure. Someone commenting on a Jalopnik article on it says it's a ZX10, but I'm not seeing it. Here it is running - not the crossplane crankshaft, for sure.
-
I'm jealous... ;D These are supposed to drop right into the dedicated .45 lower I'm waiting for. Can't wait to get the call to send the $$$.
-
I don't/won't shoot reloads from someone else, unless 1) I know them, or 2) they're in the "remanufactured ammo business." Just the way I am.

The second picture was the one filled with all the valid points... ;D -
WMD Guns had a NiB BCG sale starting 10 Feb, and sold out fast. ALOT of their customers got hit with CC Fraud. Some people that shop with them report getting hit with CC Fraud after past transactions, but now everyone is putting it together. IF YOU HAVE SHOPPED WITH THEM, SHITCAN THE CARD YOU USED AND GET A NEW ONE. DON'T WAIT FOR THE FRAUD CHARGES TO APPEAR. Here's an email that went out from WMD, after they acknowledged the problem: To valued WMD Customers: We sincerely appreciate your support of our products. However we regret to inform you that WMD has been the victim of a malicious cyber attack that possibly compromised credit card numbers of some of our customers. We received reports from multiple customers late yesterday evening and this morning that after ordering on 2/10 that their cards were used frauduletly thereafter. We have taken all reasonable measures from our side to secure the site and prevent further fraudulent activity. Please take a proactive stance toward security of the card used in your transaction to contact your card security department and monitor activity closely. WMD NEVER sees the card number used on web orders. Both the processor and web host have been alerted. Should fraudulent activity be discovered, WMD recommends that you aggressively pursue this issue with your credit card bank to criminally prosecute the individual(s) responsible for this activity. WMD will absolutely pursue all legal avenues available to us. The shopping cart was also severely hampered by the volume of orders on 2/10. This created a situation where multiple orders may have been entered (either by the individual or just by a bug in the system). If this occurred to your order, reversal of all charges except for one have been processed and should show up no later than Monday 2/25. In fact many refunds have already shown up in the customer accounts. If you did order on 2/10, we began processing orders as planned on 2/15 and will continue over the next two to three weeks. The delivery schedule for the BCGs was long due to the sheer volume of orders, but this complicates the verification and reconfirmation of orders. Know that our Team is working diligently to rectify the situation caused by the system failure and the fraudulent activity. We are also rebuilding the site and shopping cart to securely and robustly handle future orders. This site will be up and released again in Mid March. Thank you again for your support and we apologize for the extreme inconvenience that this illicit activity may have caused you. Respectfully, Wynn Atterbury President WMD Guns URGENT ALERT FROM WMD GUNS

Best Muzzle Brake/Flash Hider combo
98Z5V replied to eagle10's topic in AR-10 General, Technical Discussion
They've got it for 6.8 and 300BLK - same one works on both. It's a .30 cal comp, threaded 5/8 x 24. -
Now, my comments: I like it. They're standing with the other companies. However, they'll still sell to state and local agencies that are on the side of 2A, in ban states. This is kinda what I mentioned with Pappy, in another thread. I like it.

CMMG, INC. ANNOUNCES NEW POLICY ON STATE REGULATION OF FIREARMS The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and all law abiding gun owners in our country are currently under assault. Since the horrible tragedy in Connecticut, politicians and media alike are actively demonizing and criminalizing citizens of these great United States who are exercising their rights under the Second Amendment. The emotional responses and decisions being made right now are extremely dangerous and short sighted. As individual states elect to pass more restrictive gun laws, CMMG will adhere to each state’s regulations. However, CMMG has made a policy decision that it will not supply products to law enforcement agencies in states that have enacted legislation preventing individual citizens from owning similar firearms. CMMG will no longer provide these agencies with firearms, magazines or any other products that are restricted or no longer available to civilians. CMMG will not stand by on the sidelines and let America’s rights be stripped away. CMMG will not support states that have police departments and law enforcement agencies arming themselves with firearms and weapons that are not available to law abiding citizens. CMMG does not believe in separate classes of citizens and will not engage in sales to states that enact legislation promoting that belief. CMMG will, however, make exceptions to police departments and law enforcement agencies that have taken a public stand refusing to recognize or enforce unconstitutional firearm restrictions. Agencies making this stand are putting their careers on the line to take a constitutional stand for all Americans as fellow citizens. Abraham Lincoln spoke on June 16, 1858, and stated that "a house divided against itself cannot stand;” CMMG supports those who support our freedom. CMMG, as industry partners, and gun owners (including law enforcement agencies), need to stand up and stand together to counter this assault on our freedom and our constitutional rights. The Constitution is the supreme legal authority in our land, and we are bound by its words. It states in the Preamble that it was written to "form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.” The Founding Fathers agreed the best way to establish this was through the Bill of Rights which includes the Second Amendment. Let us take this stand together, unified, to continue allowing this country to be the beacon of freedom to the world.

Looks like we need to make a S&W section now... <thumbsup> The LE/MIL varient of the S&W .308 AR is shipping now - the M&P-10. Looks to be primarily DPMS-based, and it's a full ambi lower. Nice looking rig. Here a quick "unboxing" review of it's features, by one lucky owner:
-
Has to be northern Idaho, local to Magwa.
-
Yep. I hope they charge the hell out of the other two.
-
That Patrol is a nice one. They now have the 16" threaded barrel.
-
Nah, I've got a comparo pic of both grip openings somewhere on this site. Here's the MIAD, can't find the MOE. I'll find it somewhere. They were both formed the same, so it looks like they've changed it, based in the pic up there ^^^
-
Unless they changed the grip, it doesn't cover the takedown spring, and the spring can slide right down in the grip. You either have to build the grip up with epoxy (form a shelf to hold the spring), or set-screw the spring into the lower. I set screw my stuff.
-
<lmao> I almost posted it myself - it immediately came to mind. I told myself, "Wait, waaaaaaaaait - it'll happen..." <laughs>
-
I knew it was gonna happen... ;D <laughs>
-
Not the pivot pin, brother - takedown, at the rear. What did you do to get the spring and detent to stay in place, since you're using the MOE grip?
-
^^^ I almost posted that... <laughs> <lmao>
-
Looks good, man. <thumbsup> <thumbsup> What route did you take to retain the takedown spring and detent?
