Structure will be the same, because there are only 3 or 4 forging companies in the business, and everyone buys their own raw forgings from essentially the same places. Cutting it apart for analysis wasn't really necessary. Nobody here will be pissed - Don't know what you're talking about with that. Just information for you...

He didn't try to overstep his bounds... List of executive actions Obama plans to take as part of anti-gun violence plan Published January 16, 2013 FoxNews.com The following is a list, provided by the White House, of executive actions President Obama plans to take to address gun violence. 1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system. 2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system. 3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system. 4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks. 5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun. 6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers. 7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign. 8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission). 9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations. 10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement. 11. Nominate an ATF director. 12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations. 13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime. 14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence. 15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies. 16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes. 17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities. 18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers. 19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education. 20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover. 21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges. 22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations. 23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health. All I did brother was a google search on "fishing smilie," and picked one I liked. Uploaded that bitch to Photobucket, and then link it in here as a pic attachment. <thumbsup> I can find anything you need, brother - lemme know. ;D
-
The heavy buffer wasn't the problem, brother - that bolt carrier not pushing the buffer off the retaining pin (when upper and lower close) was the problem, all the way.

^^^ <laughs> <lmao> :happydrunks:

Yep - when he finished them in the gunmaker's clearcoat, they darkened up. I like it! ;D

MarkB, who is the barrel maker? If it won't even eject, and the gas port is the culprit, then that gas port has to be grossly undersized. Another thing I'm thinking - take the adjustable gas block out of the equation for this part, for a minute. The gas port could be WAY oversized - the bolt carrier is trying to start it's cycle too fast, due to increased gas pressure of a large port, and the case hasn't contracted yet. The case is still expanded out into the chamber walls, and that will stop the bolt carrier in it's tracks. However, the adjustable gas block, dialed down, should have caught something like that. Check for a rough chamber, too. Does the bolt carrier even move, when you fire? Have someone beside the rifle, watching for that.

Now that it's been done once, and you see how easy it really is... You're hooked on building them from now on... <lmao> <laughs> <munch>

Daniel defense ordering on line

The important thing is to get the order completed and paid for. Call DD the next day with FFL info and see how they want it presented to them. <thumbsup> When I deal with companies that don't have my FFL on file, I email a scanned copy of it to them, which has always been acceptable. -
The pics don't even do it justice, brother. Not even close to justice. You need to see this thing in person sometime. <thumbsup>
-
Bullet Button. <thumbsup> A mag release that you can only "release" with a tool.

Pink mags shipped today. Ordered the 10th, shipped the 15th - DSG Arms is just slammed. They usually get orders out the very next day. Pics will be coming up in a few more days, guaranteed... ;D

Do something - hit the form, and send it in. Confirmation Your e-mail message was sent to: Senator John McCain (R-AZ) Representative Ron Barber (D-AZ 2nd) Going in the mail tomorrow: Tom-Ass January 15, 2013 The Honorable Jeff Flake United States Senate B85 Russell Senate Office Building Washington, DC 20515 Re: Oppose All gun control legislation Senator Flake: Press reports now make it clear what Vice President Joe Biden's gun control package will look like. Biden wants to impose: * A Feinstein-like semi-auto ban which, according to experts who have done the counting, could ban up to 50% of all long guns currently in circulation and up to 80% of all handguns. * The framework for national gun registration and confiscation by requiring every gun transaction to have a Brady Check. * Supposed "toughening" of anti-gun trafficking measures, but without doing anything about the man responsible for allowing more gun trafficking than any other American -- Attorney General Eric Holder (with his Fast and Furious program). Let me backtrack and explain a couple of things: Increasingly ATF is going into gun dealers and xeroxing all of the 4473's. This is illegal under McClure-Volkmer, but, in case you hadn't noticed, Obama is increasingly ignoring the law when it inconveniences him. Thus, if every gun transaction in America must have a Brady Check, every gun in America could presumably be fed into a national registration system by ATF by simply copying the 4473's. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo -- a man who gives you a pretty good idea of where gun control is going -- said, on the front page of the New York Times, that "confiscation" of firearms is an option. Obviously, having a registration list makes such a task much easier. But what about so-called large-capacity magazines? First of all, millions of gun owners own these magazines for defensive purposes. To take away a homeowner's right to choose these devices will simply make honest citizens less safe -- especially, when they are facing multiple attackers. Moreover, police have sometimes had to fire 20-30 rounds to finally stop just one drug-crazed individual from shooting. This just underscores why, quite often, good guys will need more than just six-shooters. Second, there are tens of millions of such magazines in circulation. What are you going to do about them? Third, changing magazines (or switching guns) is not a big deal for people like Adam Lanza. Fourth -- and perhaps most important -- this is a game the anti-gun zealots have played before: They threaten to kill the Second Amendment, and then negotiate their way back to "merely" eviscerating it. I agree with Gun Owners of America that these infringements are gross violations of the Second Amendment. Please oppose ALL gun control -- including magazine limitations and universal background (registration) checks -- being proposed by the Biden commission. Sincerely, Tom-Ass

Weeks, right now. From what I've heard, have him sign up for an account before be gets in there at midnight, just to speed the process up. Lots of people have been getting close to finishing up the order, and it boots you before you're done - all orders for the day filled already. It'll also be wise to pre-select everything he wants, well beforehand. Cruise the website, and see what you want, well before midnight. -
Jon, you're gonna hate me. Did the Tucson-Run this afternoon, and forgot my phone. Left SV around 3:20, made it to the grip makers place around 4:45. Picked up the Desert Warrior, fondled the other revolvers he was working on, then went towards Sportsman's. Along the way, I saw a place called R&A Tactical... Small place, hadn't seen it before, so I stopped in. He was low on stock, obviously, but he had 2 x 20rd Pmags, marked at $45 each. He had about 4 x 30rd Pmags, marked at $60 each. He had one Surefire 60-rounder, marked at $275. I just walked right out the door when I saw that poop. Anyway, hit up Sportsman's, grabbed two more pounds of Varget, and hit the road. Stopped at Chuy's for dinner, and now I'm back in SV. Pics of the grips coming right up. Finished!!! :hethan: Symmetric, all the way through that block - mirror image on both sides. With the originals, which go back in the case now.

Nailed 2 of them this time - thanks, blue!!! <thumbsup>

Good little red dot, adp - you'll she'll like it. <thumbsup> <laughs>

Hell yeah, brother. <thumbsup> It's a small world, in many more ways than one.
-
None of this poop adds up. None of it.
-
Awesome pic, man! <thumbsup>

Yeah, I know. That's when I start yelling... <lmao>

Prices will go up. Parts should still be around - they were between 1994 and 2004, anyway. Depends on how this one goes down, and what language is used. I don't think a Federal Ban will make it, as far as the rifles are concerned, but STANDARD CAPACITY mags are done, for sure. Yes, 30 rounds is standard capacity. HIGH capacity is the Surefire 60, and up. Politicians are such bullpoopy... >:(
