^^^ That is a damn good procedure - that's awesome info, man. <thumbsup> If you don't mind, I'm stealing that technique. <laughs>

Shoulda seen me in my ATV racing days, brother - I bent "unbendable" parts, broke "unbreakable" parts, and shattered "indestructible" parts... with a quickness. <lmao> I'd call manufacturers with "lifetime warranty" honor requests, and they'd have me send pics before sending the parts in for warranty - they wanted to see what I was talking about before "throwing away shipping money." All that stuff got replaced, too. Free. :o I can tear some poop up... <thumbsup> <laughs> On another note, almost in a "back on track" way... I might be shooting Project Pinky on Monday - it's all up to the delivery companies right now, and everything is on the way... <dontknow> The one thing that worries me is whether the rail will get here on Monday - I might have to switch days off work, and take Tuesday off instead. Stay tuned... <munch>

I think if I hadn't busted everybody out, they'd still be drivin' on with blinders on... <laughs> <lmao> :ove3: :love4: :yup:

All Geissele triggers are tool steel, brother. None of them are investment cast, in the least. <thumbsup> http://geissele.com/pdfs/TriggerSummarySheet.pdf EDIT - I was also gone for awhile, right before I struck a deal with you for one of the S3G triggers... My apologies for that, in many ways. If you still have that trigger, and still want to let it go, I'll still take it. Again, sorry for the months-long response. :-[

True, true!!! I pass that out for free all the time!... <thumbsup> <laughs> <lmao>

1 - S3G; that is one FAST trigger. 2 - SSA-E trigger 3 - SSA-E trigger I wouldn't jump into the Hi-Speed series just yet. The ones I listed as recommendations are all non-adjustable, and perfect for what they are and do. The Hi-Speed series are all adjustable. You set them up to your preference. That's more to mess with and set up, and it's just easier to install the non-adjustables and get to shooting. If you find that you'd like a "little bit more here or there," then you'd move to one of the Hi-Speed models. I seriously doubt you'd want to change a thing with the S3G and SSA-E, brother, as soon as you shoot them. <thumbsup>

I could break an anvil in a sandpit, brother. <thumbsup> <lmao>

Please Review Your ATC SR Gold Trigger at Brownells
98Z5V replied to imschur's topic in American Trigger Corp | PACT
If you take the time to process your stuff as a "Verified Reviewer," it shows up instantly, for that one, and all the ones in the future. <thumbsup> -
Here's some bent/broken ones - that's enough convincing for me. I have one commercial extension left, and it's on a light-use rifle. I'd have gotten rid of it long ago if there wasn't a CTR stock on it. If it breaks, the CTR gets sold, and I'll pick up a milspec-sized one.

Your review hasn't shown up yet - might want to check with Brownell's and see what happened there. <dontknow> -
You can get 5 and 6-position milspec tubes, now. VLTOR is the only maker of a milspec 5-position tube, as far as I know. There's lots of makers for the 6-position tube, though.

Diameters are only different because of how they either cut or form the threads. 1.14" O.D. on the milspec, with formed threads. 1.17" O.D. on the commercial, with cut threads. Determine which one is better for you, based on that. I run the milspec extensions, only. The pic below will give a better explanation - can't remember where or who I swiped it from, or I'd give them praise for their time in making the graphic, and the clarity of the explanation. Good stuff. <thumbsup>

Ergo makes Magpul's ladders, or at least they did in the past - search for the Ergo parts, brother. They're not as "plasticky..." <laughs>
-
Keep in mind, though, that one only comes in commercial-size (receiver extension), and won't fit a milspec-size extension. It would go on there, but it would be rattling and sloppy-fitting. If you're okay with the commercial-size extensions, then that one's an option for people. <thumbsup>

I'm sorry I missed this one, brother... :-[ I will hit the next one, without fail. <thumbsup>

Most definitely. <thumbsup> Keep showing your buddy the pics as this thing nears completion - spread the sickness, brother! <laughs> <lmao>

There's a new(er) company out there called Damage Industries, that introduced that exact style of stock sometime several months ago - it's very similar in design to the LMT SOPMOD and the B5 Systems SOPMOD. I could have swore that they unveiled the pink one, and I was hunting high and low for it. Turns out that they don't do a pink one, and this is actually from a company called Tactical Intent. These TI folks are molders, so I'm kinda thinking the connection in the similarity of the Tac Intent and Damage Industries hardware is more than coincidence. <dontknow> The whole furniture kit came from them - buttstock, handgrip, rail panels. <thumbsup>

Was thinking the exact same thing - OP, if you live in Cali, you can give up on the suppressor idea. Sorry, man. :-[

Drew, I just hope the Tundra survived... <laughs> <thumbsup>

'Sup, wash?! ;D <laughs> Bill Geissele is a damn genious, I'm just sayin'... <thumbsup> S3G SSA-E (x2) SSA Armalite NM 2 Stage Spike's NiB Battle Trigger Jard 2lb Adjustable Jard 2.5lb Adjustable ATC SR Gold Stainless trigger group, polished Something else, I'm forgetting... :o I'm probably picking up another S3G soon. It's for a specific build. There's nothing - Nothing. Faster than that trigger. No joke, no poop, no lie. Period. Task: Doubles, rapid fire, into IPSC-sized targets at 15 yards. Condition: weapon at Low ready, weapon slung or unslung, on safe, round chambered. Start weapon-ready, at the low-ready. On Safe. Standards: Running numbers on a PACT Club Timer II, against the clock, and the timer. How fast can you repeatedly do it?... I started these drills on a mil-spec trigger, and was hitting doubles (and that means hitting them, center mass, pretty decent groups) at around 1.7 or 1.8 seconds. That's from timer sound, coming up, off safe, whacking two. Second round ends the time. Best I've done since the S3G trigger have been in the high 0.80-second range. That's low ready, hit the beep, come up off safe, hit two, stop. 8 tenths of a second. Average times for these drills now are under 1.00 seconds. High 0.90-second range is truly average. The S3G trigger will hold you back... if you need speed, and you don't have it, you're held back... I ain't kidding about that. Anybody needs a vid of the shooting, just request it. <thumbsup>

After the SR Gold, or before it? I have a very difficult time between the SR Gold, and the Geissele SSA-E. Both are very, very comparable, and I don't want to say which one I prefer. You can't go wrong with either. <thumbsup> If someone else here wants to get into the merits of each, or debate the two against each other, then I'll gladly jump into that one. Bring it. ;) If you don't own both, then don't even get in here are argue about stuff "you read." Talk about what you have, and what you shoot.
-
We've gone far beyond some Hogue Overmold with this one. This will be a freefloat rail, mini red dot, fixed front sight - but smaller front sight post,... This one might get the S3G trigger, too. I'm seriously thinking about running this in some local shooting comps... :o <lmao> Progression continues... it's probably gonna be finished in about another week... <thumbsup>
-
A quick-fix for this thing, permanently, would be a barrel replacement from someone that's making 18"-ish barrels... I'd suggest Fulton Armory, without hesitation. If you buy the barrel from them, I'd do your barrel install for free, if you shipped me the upper. <thumbsup> **** Disclaimer - I'm not a business, and don't make money from firearms... just someone that wants to see it "right." I wouldn't even think about receiving money for something like this.
-
Fixed that one for ya, brother... <thumbsup> <lmao> I feel that pain, and live that hell... :o That's kinda like the relationship between Roger @ Battle Arms, and me... :o <lmao> <laughs> I hope Roger sees this one... <laughs> <munch>

Sooooo.... What kind of "next" rifle are you looking for?... ;D Talk to me, Goose... <laughs> Don't be afraid, just let it out... <lmao>
