  1. Well, by this time tomorrow, I'll be a Felon x8, just based on AR Pistols that have braces. I'm eager to see how this works out as well. Bring it, JoeBama, and let's see what your solution is for instantly making "Felons out of Law Abiding Citizens..."
  2. If he's gona fuk around with ARs, I'd highly suggest looking into RealAvid for AR tools. They're pretty comprehensive, in their big kit. After that, with ARs, tell him to just drop the money on a couple Geissele Reaction Rods - one for 5.56, and one for .308. Buy a MagPul Armorers wrench. No kidding. With that setup, he could do just about anything to any AR that walks into his shop. EDIT - P.S. Buy a Wilton vise.
  3. He gives me free interest on a trigger that I've owed him for about 1.5 years now. Or more... One of these days, he's gonna show up again, and I need to produce that damn trigger... Or he'll go all Mob-Boss on me...
  4. The chicks tell you that, too?... Just wondering...
  5. Just use @Belt Fed's card to get your ass out here. I'm sure he's good for it...
  6. It sucks what I went through, with all the lies and bullshiit with DCS here. They're corrupt as fuk. They'll do anything for money, and they proved it in court. Sucks for sure, and she'll be 4 this coming August. I have a Crickett Precision Rifle that she'd be fitting into about that time. Fuk AZ DCS, and especially Maricopa County DCS. I hope one day that their corruption is blown wide open.
  7. I couldn't leave this one alone, right here...
  8. Sleepy JoeBama is gonna throw 5 or 6 Executive Orders tomorrow on Gun Control. Strong reporting throughout the community is that Pistol Braces are in his crosshairs. We'll see what happens. I'll dig up some articles, and post them in here.
  9. I'd wash it out completely, let it dry, then spray the inside of it to DEATH with a can of brake cleaner - then let that dry. After that, I'd hot-water the hell out of it, and let that dry, just to make sure. Overkill is overkill - but powder contamination would SUCK to find out, when you pull the trigger...
  10. Let us know what that buffer weighs...
  11. You come out to one of my shoots, and all those questions will go away, and you'll understand that scope completely. I guarantee that. I'll give you a double-your-money-back guarantee on that one.
  12. I took their comments as "interesting," to say the best. Does that mean that Wilson Combat ONLY sets up their guns to run with Carbine Recoil Systems, and they're ONLY running 3.8oz buffers in 7.000" internal depth extensions? And what does "AR-10 spring" mean to them? What AR-10 spring?... There's only ONE AR-10 spring, and that's the Armalite EA-1095 spring, period. From what you described for your spring measurements, that's not the EA-1905 spring, nowhere close... MAYBE... Wilson Combat is talking about a 3.8oz AR15 H1 Carbine Buffer, which would require a receiver extension that's 7 5/8" internal depth, because that buffer is 3.250" long, and won't work in a 7.000" deep extension. Then, and only then, they could use the Armalite EA-1905 spring. But, the H1 buffer is still too light. Needs to be the H3, at 5.4oz... So, my real question is - if they're drilling their gas ports for that recoil system... then what happens when a customer wants a Rifle Recoil System?... That's a 9 11/16" internal depth receiver extension, with a buffer that's 5.200" long, and that buffer weighs 5.4oz... So, then the gun doesn't run right, because the proper (ONLY) Rifle Recoil System fuks it up, because they're drilling the gas ports too small?... Hmmm... They need to get their mentality right. They're missing the mark here. Someone throws a Rifle Recoil System in one of their guns, and it's gonna act like it's under-gassed, due to the increased buffer weight. Hell, it IS under-gassed, for proper buffer weight... From the old days... Deep Thoughts, By Jack Handey...
  13. That sucker went into the 12.5" 6 ARC, brother. I'm gonna have to pick up a couple more... I couldn't help it, and I told myself I wasn't gonna do it.
  14. Toss that entire recoil system, and put in the Armalite AR-10 Carbine Recoil System. It's one part number to order, and it's the easiest, cheapest way to do this. This is what you're after: https://www.armalite.com/SACItem.aspx?Item=AR10REKIT01&ReturnURL=/Armalite/Product-Category/AR10-Parts-Accessories/Lower-Receiver-Parts&Category=ac614400-ff09-4cdf-9d35-419a654e7201 That gas port diameter does need to be 0.085" for that gun to run right. Numbered Irwin bits from any old Ace Hardware will do it. Look for a #44 drill bit. Here's a reference chart for numbered bit sizes: https://littlemachineshop.com/reference/numberdrillsize.php Make sure your gas tube ends directly in the center of the cam pin cutout in the upper receiver, just like that pic that's in the link that #dpete posted above.
  15. Here you go, brother - hit up Tech Note #78 in this link: There used to be another one, about slightly bending the springs, to drop the weight even more, but I can't find that one right now. Maybe Pat can point that one out.
  16. They put the 2-Stage National Match trigger in all the T models. @mrraley has the tuning notes on that trigger up in his archives. I tweaked mine a little, and it REALLY is a nice trigger. I'll go find the Tech Note on tuning that trigger and post it in here. Awesome score, brother - I was afraid you were gonna miss it...
  17. ^^^ Badass score, brother @shooterrex I'll update my 12.5" build thread - I worked that thing to death with ammo last weekend, to settle that barrel in... It sucked, initially, trying to zero a brand new gun and barrel, but it got it's shiit straight after about 100 rounds. 3.5 mils at 450 yards, and it finally settled in at night, on that 450 night target. After that, it learned who was the boss... I'm sure it's gonna pick up some speed in the next hundred rounds - but I didn't waste any of the handloads on it last weekend, after it pissed me off initially.,.
  18. BUY THIS THING ALREADY!!! For that optic, it's like getting a free rifle to go WITH it! Call in sick tomorrow, brother... for fuks sake. I'll bet it's not there anymore. The 10T was the "Target model." It won't fuk you over. MSRP on the damn scope is $1,399~$1,599, depending on what reticle it's got...
  19. I fought the shiit out of the crooked, totally corrupt Maricopa County DCS, for my grand daughter - and those crooked, corrupt fuks gave her to the millionaire bullshiit people that were trying to adopt her. Money won. The judge tried to do the right thing, when I got involved, but I guess the money got to him eventually, too. I'm glad to see people winning against the system, even though I couldn't beat the corruption here. You've done well, Cliff. Any you, Larry.
  20. Check these guys for barrels. You might need to call on the phone and see what's available. https://www.fulton-armory.com/far-308-barrels.aspx You'll need a "DPMS High Profile" handguard. Make sure you buy the barrel nut with it, it it doesn't state that it comes with the barrel nut.
  21. Yes, it's new, it's surplus... Nobody but the military ammo manufacturers seals primers.
  22. I found the information in a few minutes, just from the Stag website. It's DPMS High profile, and threaded for DPMS barrel nuts. Says it right in this parts description: https://www.stagarms.com/stag-10/stag-10-uppers/right-hand-stag-10-uppers/stag-10-stripped-upper-receiver/
  23. 10.5" isn't stupid and crazy. I have a 12.5" and 13.5". You have the Stag upper, too? So, Stag upper and lower? Do whatever you want, just keep it the same pattern. My 13.5" is all DPMS-based Aero M5 receivers, handguard, but completely Armalite AR-10 guts (recoil system, BCG, barrel). Runs like a champ. What's the rail height and barrel-nut thread pattern for that Stag upper? It's either Armalite, or it's DPMS High, or it's DPMS Low. We need that much info from you to make recommendations.
  24. Not an AR-10. Only Armalite makes those, and it's a different pattern from what you have. Insisting that it's "an AR-10" only clouds the discusssion with inaccurate information - that will net you answers that don't pertain to the actual platform that you have. What you have is a ".308 AR"... Clearly listed in the Midway title for this part, it states "LR-308" - which is a DPMS pattern. But, it's not made by DPMS, it's just on the DPMS LR-308 pattern... Not trying to bust your balls - but the terminology really does matter.
  25. There's no "debate" to get into. I have a bunch of 6.5mm guns, and so do others here. Don't know what kind of a fight you'd thought that you were gonna get, but it won't be a fight here. Lighten Up, Francis. In your shoes, I'd be contacting Midway, and asking if they're aware of this, if they've had any other reports of something like this - then going straight to the manufacturer of this upper - AR Stoner - and asking the same questions...
