  1. If it's cycling too fast, just get the KAK heavy buffer. It comes in at 5.3oz, over that 3.8oz buffer that DPMS gave you. This one: https://www.kakindustry.com/lr308-carbine-buffer-heavy According to @survivalshop, the DPMS factory system is good to go - stock 7.000" internal-depth extension, with the real DPMS LR-308 Carbine spring, and the 3.8oz real DPMS 2.500" buffer. If that thing is cycling too fast, that KAK heavy buffer will slow it down.
  2. That's a good spring to run in a 7.000" extension, and tame a .308AR, so it would be a good choice in this application. We all know that .40 is just "10mm lite," and it recoils like it. At SHOT this year, I hit the Sprinco booth up - the whole crew did, 4 of us. We spent over an hour there BSing with those guys, and talking shop, talking specs - they get it. Look into their "convertible buffer." It was close to release during the show, and it's badass. It's atake-apart buffer, with all the weights you'll need, so you can tailor that thing any way you want to. It's pricy - but it's every buffer-weight combo you could think it. I still can't find it on their website, so you might have to call them about it. That 9mm buffer you got - it's longer than regular 3.250" carbine buffers, and heavier, right? I have two pistol buffers that are 8oz, and those are doing a good job - but on 9mm and .45ACP carbines. That ain't .40.
  3. That was awesome, brother - thank you for posting that.

    SWFA ???

Absolutely zero need to copy/paste and post it twice here, man. If a Mod could merge these two, that would be great.

    SWFA ???

They probably won't be working tomorrow, so calling might not work out. I doubt they're open on Memorial Day. They're a very good company, so I don't think you'll end up with any issues, once you do get to talk to them.
  6. You're gonna be fun.
  7. ^^^ AHHHHH-NOLD!!!
  8. Hang in there, brother - I hope it doesn't go through, or even stand a chance. If Hittlery had been elected, "as she was supposed to," we'd be in a nationwide gun-free zone right now.
  9. Nah, that was off the top of my head - I've been keeping track of this idiocy. OR will fall victim next. The Left Coast is a Liberal Stronghold, and OR feels left out of this straw-deal, with Cali and WA pinching them in. Watch it happen... Portland Hippies...
  10. You woulda been good, if you lived in a Free State. Seems that only NY, CA, and WA have those fake paper straws now. I still get fat plastic straws from McD's here in AZ. We're not trying to free the planet from the "straw epidemic" that some kid started, as a hypothetical school science project. Pure conjecture and bullshiit, but repeated en masse by the MSM - as some sort of a crisis... Okay, off my political soapbox now, on that topic... sorry to derail your thread... Get to a Free State...
  11. ^^^ That has absolutely zero to do with the problem that this thread talks about. Zero.
  12. because Annapolis = DC...
  13. That price difference isn't for FFP over SFP, on those particular 1~8 scopes. That PA 1~8 FFP scope is one of their top-of-the-line scopes. That price reflects that, not FFP over SFP, on that comparison.
  14. My sentiments, exactly. They ship the 20" rifle-gas .260 Rem barrel with a 0.070" gas port diameter, and I've stated that it's just too small. I punched mine up to 0.080".
  15. EuroOptic is VERY solid. Love those guys.
  16. ^^^ Yep, that just happened...
  17. I usually just blurt out what the 9-out-of-10 voices in my head are yelling at me...
  18. As it should be, in every single school across America.
  19. ^^^ What Lincoln said made me sit back and think. Alot. This is what we should all strive to do, daily. I try my best, win some lose some, daily. There's alot in what he stated that makes me reflect on what I've done, and what I do, and what I need to do. Not a day goes by that you shouldn't learn something - once you stop learning, you stop growing. Once you "know everything"... you just refused to keep learning. We have gifts amongst us - each other. Some people are great and this, while others are great at that. Amongst us, we're great at anything. And everything. Collectively, there's not any issue that can't be resolved, solved, trouble-shot, concluded. What we have here is the greatest collection of like-minded problem solvers and professionals - in every area of everything - that you could ever hope to find. I tip my hat to you gentlemen - and to all those that sacrificed everything - so that we could even be here in the first place. God Speed, Warriors of the past, and Thank You for what you accomplished - so that we can accomplish.
  20. I got this email from Pipe Hitters Union on May 8th, and I saved it - for Memorial Day. This sums it up greatly. This is the text of the email:
  21. So those things were loaded HOT... from the factory. 46.0gr is a big load for a .308 Win round. I almost wanna get a box of this stuff and run it through a chrono.
  22. Stag is Continental Machine and Tool (CMT). For a long time, CMT was the manufacturer for alot of the other "manufacturers." Their work is very solid, and their guns are very good.
  23. Damn, that is a sweet rifle!...
  24. That's what I'm talking about. Nobody needs "a bigger safe." Ever. When you hit that point, you need "another safe." What are you gonna do - sell the first one, for pennies on the dollar? Nope, it still works, you won't get your money back, and it still does it's job. Time for #2. Or #3, #4, whatever... EDIT - Plus, moving those fuckers just plain sucks...
  25. ^^^ That's the kind of shiit that gets me into trouble in the first place. #1, I can't tell they're crazy. #2, they seem cool, so I take them shooting. #3, they look HAWT out there shooting. #4, I fall for their game, and try to keep them. #5, I find out they're BATSHIIT CRAZY, but it's too late - I'm in too deep at that point. No more taking hot chicks to a one-on-one shootfest.
