That won't ever be true for any LaRue rifle, or any KAC rifle, or any LMT rifle, or any Noveske rifle - or any other higher quality rifle, that is built correctly. Those are just examples. Had to address that one comment from you separately, I hope you understand.

Cool. Here's your cure for the entire recoil system: https://www.armalite.com/product/ar10rekit01-6-position-receiver-extension-kit/ That small gas port, you'll have to drill up, probably on your own. The info is up there for you. You'll also probably find that your gas tube is too short - it should end directly in the center ofthe cam pin cutout in the upper receiver - and the PSA, you will see, will end towards the front of the cam pin cutout. The details are here, in the PSA section. Read all about it. Good luck with your gun, man.

This article is an awesome read. Very well worth the time. https://www.tactical-life.com/gear/ammo/military-small-arms-ammunition/

I think we were over-served... It's not our fault...

It's just like spacing rings in a piston on an engine build - so you have even compression across all cylinders. The bolt is your "piston" and it's got rings. The "cylinder" is the inside of your BCG. Same rationale. I will tell you that these things will still fire, when all the gaps are lined up. Whenever I have my bolts out for cleaning, I space the ring gaps. I don't take a gun apart to see if the rings are gapped, though.

Welcome aboard. The common story is that the PSA guns are over-gassed, but that's not the reality of it. Their 18" midlength-gas barrels ship with an undersized gasport of 0.070". So, with an undersized gasport - it would be hard to say it's over-gassed. The reality of the hardware specs tell you that it can't be overgassed. Not on you - I'm sure others tell you that they're over-gassed. Reality is, the recoil system is weak. There's tons of threads on this here, in the PSA section. Feel free to post up any other issues you have with it, and they'll get solved. Your gas port diameter in an 18" .308 Win midlength gas system setup should be 0.080"~0.085". I'd love to see the specs on your recoil system. It's a pretty safe bet, not even hearing about the specs on it, that you should probably just throw it in the trash, or save the individual pieces for spare parts.

Just south of Phoenix. I WISH I had the tools and machines to build my own barrels, man. I would be living the dream. The heaviest-barreled thing I shoot is a .50 BMG bolt action single shot, that a friend has. That thing is a pig, but it gets it done. I've got a few "heavy barrel" guns in the inventory, but they're nothing like what you're making. What you do makes those things look like pencil-profile barrels...

Pics of this contact will help. I've never, ever seen a gas key hit a charging handle. Gas keys are all the same, AR15 and .308AR, there is zero difference in them. This leads me to believe that the charging handle isn't machined the way it should be. Pics, again, will help.

Taught my kid how to "swim" at 2 years old - in the deep end of the pool. I'd tread water, and he'd try to jump off the side, onto me. Beginning of summer. Flash forward to end of summer, and his POS mom take him swimming. All he knows is to jump as high as you can, as far as you can, right off the side - in the 6" deep kiddie poll. Split the back of his mellon. Getting the 4 stitchs in the back of his small head was a nightmare (military medical clinic on a smaller camp in Korea). Fucker bit the shiit out of me, trying to hold him still. Another story, another time... So, getting the stitches out. I had an "appointment time" to get his stitches out. Same small clinic in Korea. NOBODY is in there. After waiting 45 minutes past the time, I took those fuckers out myself, right in the waiting room. Saved them, removed, in my hand. Waited, patiently - but not. I'm getting more and more pissed off, the longer I wait to go see this wizard of a doctor that's gonna remove them. Another hour goes by, and this fuk finally decides to "see us..." Someone calls us, we go beck to this room, and the Doc looks at the back of his head. Hmmm... no stitches to remove. This motherfucker was BEWILDERED. The look on his face was priceless. I just smiled, and held out my hand, with the 4 stitches in my palm. This went up pretty quick, with this guy trying to chew me out, and I turned the tables on him right quick, and lit into his ass. It went Epic after that. I stormed the fuk out of there, and before I got him back to his daycare, I knew the shiit was blowing up. Fuk it. I made my way back, and the Commander and 1SG pulled me straight in, wanting to know what the fuk happened at that clinic. I just held out my hand, and showed them the stitches (I still have those fuckers in an envelope somewhere... ). I laid the story down. I straight up told them that I lit that Doc up, I was VERY disrespectful to a Commissioned Officer that day, and that I'd do it again in 5 minutes if the same circumstances were to occur again with me. Without hesitation, no doubt. Same reaction would happen. At that point in my 2-year tour over there, they knew I was a Ski Medic (gave me time off for it all the time) and EMT-B certified, and I was always an "on-call medic" to supervise the Firing Range Medics that were always detailed to us on ranges - Privates in Ambulances... they stood up for my medical capabilities, and fended off the giant shiit-storm I created by taking those stitches out my my kid's head... I don't know how I didn't get in trouble for telling that Major that he was an embarrassment to the Medical Corps and an absolute piece of shiit for taking his sweet 2 hours to deal with a 2 year old kid... Sorry, Bro - you triggered a flashback...

I've already got a solid, solid load on my .260 for the 147 ELD-M, at 2650fps on that one. I'm not changing over to the 153 A-Tip to gain the G7 BC increase from 0.351 to 0.355, 147 to 153... My 147s are working TOO well to change anything in that load... This new data has to be more tailored for the 153s, because I'm running 43.0gr of RL-22 on the 147s, with a 2.785" COAL, through a 20" Wilson Combat barrel - and I'm getting 2650fps... The hits downrange on the dope chart developed for that indicate that the velocity is on the money, at 2650, and that's shooting at 850, 1000, and 1100 yards for verification. Check the .260 Rem new load data:

@Magwa Brother, with the newer Hornady 6.5mm 147gr ELD-M, then the BRAND NEW 153gr A-Tip, Hornady has updated the electronic data for their load manuals. Here's the 6.5-284 data on the 147 ELD-M and the 153 A-Tip: (It's uploaded here as a PDF, too, brother, if you can't download from the link below) https://www.hornady.com/assets/site/hornady/files/load-data/6-5-284-147-153gr.pdf 6-5-284-147-153gr.pdf

What desert are you talking about? - I've got plenty of distance in my piece of the desert. You're more than welcome to bring them down here near me, anytime.

If I can get this thing running in .45 ACP, it'll be the closest I ever get to owning a DeLisle.
-
I love it, brother. Just LOVE IT! Can't wait to see this thing in action. I'll have one.

OH SHIIT!!! They got Crispy in there yelling "I AIN'T AFRAID OF NO FIRE!!!" and running a fucking flamethrower?!!? THAT is badass.

I'm 6~8mpg in the Fat Dodge gasser, pulling the trailer, when it's got some weight on it. If it's light (damn near empty trailer) is still down to 11~12mpg on flat roads. Any grades change that drastically. I try to tow at 65mph.

It won't matter... With the guy being a convicted felon previously, the meth charge AND that illegal SBS will fuk him. He'll go back in the system. Even if the meth is dropped, and the "illegal SBS" could actually be a legal Shockwave or TAC-14 - he's in possession of a firearm. The airbag determination only got them in the door - the shiit they found inside will put this guy away again... He's fucked...

6.5 PRC is an awesome, accurate cartridge - looking forward to the build on this one, and the results.

You and I have to do this - while we're still on this rock. It'll happen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiHmYsyVniE ^^^ For whatever gayass reason, "YT does not allow embedding of that video," so you'll have to click it. That's BS...

Guy get's back at his neighbor, builds a "dogshiit bomb" in a toolbox, out of an airbag. When he's searched later, he was found to be in possession of some meth and an illegal SBS - and he's a felon previously. Uh oh... https://www.foxnews.com/us/oregon-revenge-dog-poop-bomb An Oregon man accused of making a homemade bomb filled with dog feces is facing criminal charges after investigators said a former friend accidentally set it off and got an unwelcome surprise. Robb Alexander Stout, 48, allegedly rigged a poop-filled toolbox to explode when opened, because he was angry at the ex-friend for not returning something of his, according to a probable cause affidavit. To make the contraption, he was said to have explored a courtyard area near his house, collecting feces from his dog and other dogs in the area, the Oregonian reported. Robb Alexander Stout,48, faces felony charges after allegedly rigging a feces-filled toolbox to explode. (Multnomah County Sheriff's Office) His ex-friend called police on April 16 after the incident to report that someone had left the toolbox on the back of his Camaro. He suspected Stout, and after opening it, described how the device "exploded with such force that it sounded like an M80 going off and the dog scat was blown out of the toolbox," according to the court documents. It appeared the man wasn't hurt; Stout wasn't charged with assault and court papers didn't describe any injuries, according to the Oregonian. After an investigation, police determined the toolbox was rigged with a battery, wiring, switches and a car's air bag. Stout told police the inspiration for this stinky act was a series of prank videos on YouTube the pair used to watch together. He was booked in jail Thursday and released the same day after posting $2,000 bond. The next day, Stout was arraigned in Multnomah County Circuit Court in Portland on a felony charge of unlawfully manufacturing a destructive device. The Oregonian reported that police found methamphetamine and a sawed-off shotgun in his home, leading to charges of meth possession, being a felon in possession of a firearm and unlawfully possessing a short-barrel shotgun.

Here's a Troy 13.8" MRF-308 rail at Valhalla Tactical Supply - they're good people. It shows as in stock, and I was able to add it to a cart. Worth calling them on the phone. That's about the only rail that's gonna fit what you're looking for - and Troy discontinued it years ago. http://vtsupply.com/troy-mrf-308-dpms-lp-13-8-black-battlerail-quad-rail.html
