  1. Yep.
  2. Some people swear by it - my mentality is simple, though, on recoil systems. Don't complicate shiit with complicated shiit. That part was borne of the "I can't stand that TWANG!" crowd. The lack of a "twang" tells you that your bolt just locked back on an empty magazine...
  3. That's a hell of a small kit, right there, and great! Only thing I would add would be a small bag of QuickClot to it - that would kill the expense/cost, though. If it's bad enough, or a gaping wound, pour that QuickClot in there, them slap the Celox bandage over it. It'll stop everything except arterial - but that's exactly what the tourniquet is for. I'm a huge fan of the RATS tourniquet, these days. There were 3 of them out there at the Fall Shoot, in my gear. Biggest benefit of it is the worst case scenario - you can put it on yourself, one-handed, and it's fast as fuk. It's less than 20 bucks.
  4. Once you get it assembled, get a picture of that gas tube protrusion into the upper receiver. The gas tube should stop at the very center of the cam pin cutout in the upper receiver. I've got two Wilson Combat barrels, and they don't use DPMS gas length, and they don't use Armalite gas lengths - it's in between. I had to use Armalite AR-10 gas tubes in them to get them "more" right, over "less" right with the shorter tubes.
  5. Yep, you can break up a bar fight with one of those things, QUICK!
  6. I just copy the URL, and paste it in the post - the board software does the rest for me, and embeds it. Laptop, not phone, though.
  7. They are badass. However, at 82,526,069 views on this official song from Atlantic Records, they have less views than I have warning points on this damn board.... *** Thank you Matt Cross and ROboCop and all you other corrupt motherfuckers that run this house... ***
  8. This thread is epic - seeing Ernie in here commenting ... it brings a tear to my eye, literally, not kidding. I miss that guy something fierce. We Double-Tag-Teamed Drew @imschur regularly - OFF THE TOP ROPE, BABY!!! Drew never stood a chance, against our Wonder Twin Powers. We cost that fucker alot - ALOT - of money...
  9. ^^^ On the heels of some SLIPKNOT, let's hit this one! Motherfucker just ROCKS at everything...
  10. Is this a raw extension? You're building the barrel, step by step, correct?
  11. I can fix some of that. Brace yourself. Fuk that, I better brace MYSELF!...
  12. Yep! Dwight D.!
  13. We need @308kiwi in this one - he will have an idea, for certain.
  14. You sure the bolt is fully locked, and back in the BCG body when this happens? Can you push the barrel extension back in there and seat it, without moving the BCG body back in the upper? Better way to test it would be lock that extension onto the upper with a barrel and barrel nut. Try to seat the BCG fully.
  15. Wait, wait, wait... Hold on here for a minute. What do you have right now? Give the recoil system specs first. If you only have a 2.500" buffer, only two weights fit in there. What recoil system are you running? Carbine recoil system, or Rifle recoil system? What is the INTERNAL depth of your receiver extension? How long is your buffer, and how much does it weigh? Spring, whatever it is, is out the window. We'll talk about that after the info gets here...
  16. The 3-foot purple double-headed jelly dong REALLY gets someone's attention, when it upside their head like a ballbat...
  17. NICE, BROTHER!!!

    PRS set up

    Interesting.
  19. That's some serious FanBoy Territory right there. Clones of these things will be popping up on ARF all over the place.
  20. You wanted to touch him, didn't you... I just know it...
  21. I've been saying that for awhile now - and so has SS... Run a new title and pin it. That shiit is worth more here than titanium...
  22. Looks pretty damn good!
  23. Got the phonecall from Matt after your breakfast. Apparently, you're a somewhat decent person... Welcome aboard, again, in a different perspective now. That 4-40 set screw is for the takedown pin - the takedown pin hole should be threaded for the 4-40, to capture the takedown spring - once the spring is trimmed (by the length of the set screw), you insert spring, capture it with the 4-40, and you never have to mess with it during disassembly. The whole purpose started with the AR15 platform, and carbine recoil systems, and the takedown detent and spring entering from the back of the receiver. set-screw it and forget it. Some .308AR platforms have the takedown detent and spring entering from under the pistol grip. It's hit or miss by the manufacturers, but you can still capture it that way with the 4-40. I 6-32 some of them, if they're not already tapped for a 4-40. the 6-32 is a little bigger, and easier to do, and the 6-32 set screws are easier to get at any Ace Hardware - they don't always have the 4-40s. Ream with appropriate drill bit, tap, done. If it's not already threaded, you don't have to ream the hole (standard sized hole) for the 4-40 - just tap it. The size is already there, to just cut threads with a 4-40 tap.
  24. Coulda shot the bastard, at the Fall Shoot. I'm just sayin'...
  25. From what I saw on the news, that shiitbag was waiting for someone to come through that door, and shot him during entry. RIP, warrior...
