^^^ This will be a good one. In 5.56, I don't own anything anymore that's not 1:7" or 1:8". In the .308 gas guns, they're all 1:10". In one .308 bolt gun (Kimber), I have 1:12". -
Is that a 2016 headstamp? Or is it '15?

Yep, they stepped in it pretty good, too. Twice in a row, one after the other...

ESPECIALLY for those poor Californians! Seriously! Cali gun owners have been getting fucked over for decades...

'Bout time someone stands up to these Kevin DeLeon-lookalike fukwads. Federal judge blocks new California high-capacity magazine ban, but fight looms Published June 30, 2017 http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/06/30/federal-judge-blocks-new-california-high-capacity-magazine-ban-but-fight-looms.html A federal judge in California on Thursday blocked a state law that would have barred gun owners from possessing high-capacity ammunition magazines. San Diego-based U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez ruled that the ban approved by the Legislature and voters last year takes away gun owners' Second Amendment rights and amounts to the government taking people's private property without compensation. "Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of otherwise law-abiding citizens will have an untenable choice: become an outlaw or dispossess one's self of lawfully acquired property," Benitez wrote. California law has prohibited buying or selling the magazines since 2000, but until now allowed those who had them to keep them. He issued a preliminary injunction blocking the law from taking effect while he considers the underlying lawsuit filed by the National Rifle Association-affiliated California Rifle & Pistol Association. “The State of California’s desire to criminalize simple possession of a firearm magazine able to hold more than 10 rounds is precisely the type of policy choice that the Constitution takes off the table,” the injunction read. Meanwhile, a Sacramento-based judge on Thursday rejected a similar challenge by several other gun owners' rights organizations, creating what Ari Freilich, staff attorney at the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, called "dueling opinions" that may be sorted out on appeal. "Unfortunately this law will be delayed but we are confident it will go into effect, and soon," he said. He called the San Diego lawsuit and ruling part of an effort by the NRA "to delay and dismantle California's law brick by brick." Had the ban taken effect, owners would have been required to get rid of their magazines by sending them out of state, altering them to hold no more than 10 bullets, destroying them or turning them into law enforcement agencies. Possession could have been punished by $100 fines or up to a year in jail. Owners can now keep the magazines until a final ruling by Benitez or if an appeals court overturns his injunction, said Chuck Michel, attorney for the NRA and the California Rifle & Pistol Association. "This court recognized that the Second Amendment is not a second-class right and that law-abiding gun owners have the right to own these magazines to defend themselves and their families," Michel said. State lawmakers approved the ban last year as part of a package of bills adding to what already were some of the nation's strictest gun laws. Voters agreed in November when they approved Proposition 63, a measure that toughened the penalties by allowing violators to be fined or jailed. Benitez said he was mindful of voters' approval and government's legitimate interest in protecting the public but added that the "Constitution is a shield from the tyranny of the majority." Gun owner's constitutional rights "are not eliminated simply because they possess `unpopular' magazines holding more than 10 rounds," he wrote in a 66-page decision. California Attorney General Xavier Becerra criticized the decision but did not say what he will do next. "Proposition 63 was overwhelmingly approved by voters to increase public safety and enhance security in a sensible and constitutional way," Becerra said in a statement. "I will defend the will of California voters because we cannot continue to lose innocent lives due to gun violence." Supporters say that magazines often holding 30 or 100 bullets are typically used in mass shootings and aren't needed by hunters or civilian owners. "Clearly it escalates the lethality in any mass shooting when high-capacity magazines are involved," said Amanda Wilcox, a spokeswoman for the California chapters of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence whose daughter was fatally shot. Forcing assailants to change magazines more frequently gives victims time to flee or subdue the shooter, Becerra argued in court filings. Moreover, the government wouldn't own the magazines in the way it would property seized for a new highway or public building, he argued, since the magazines would be destroyed by law enforcement agencies. Becerra said opponents' Second Amendment challenge has repeatedly been rejected by other courts, allowing at least seven other states and 11 local governments to already restrict the possession or sale of large-capacity ammunition magazines.

It appears that they never asked enough of us here to help them with that wild board issue - or they would have been BOOMING!

That guy is the whole reason I'd never buy an HS Precision stock. Even if it was free, and had free shipping, and they paid me everytime I pulled the trigger. Nope. Not ever.

I was gonna say... Had to be as least a .45, because a 9mm ain't gonna get that done... .50 AE for the win.

Excellent vid, Jacob! As far as the sick call and profiles, you're RIGHT ON the money, brother. A whole bunch of my "disability" was rated. But rated at 0%. That just means they recognize what's fucked up with me, but won't pay me. When I fought them back on the rating percentage, the official response from the VA was "You never had these injuries plague you in your career, so they never affected you." They basically told me that I never cried and whined about it, so I don't get anything above a zero rating. Fucking amazing, their mentality... The ruptured disc in my neck, with the bulging disc below it, the two bulging discs midback (T-region) and the two bulging discs lower back... Nothing. Because I never got a profile, and never shammed out of the shiit I was required to do. My answer back to them was simple - when I joined, at 18, I didn't have that shiit going on. 3 weeks before I retired, the full-body MRI was done, and it showed these problems. Now, how in the fuk did all that happen, from the time I joined up to 3 weeks before retirement?!... IN THE ARMY, is how it happened, whether I cried about it or not, got profiles, whined like a bitch, hoarded my sick call time instead of doing fucking PT... Fuk the VA, man. Right in the neck.

Call them. On the phone. You will probably get another sent before you have to send that one back. It's a lifetime wtty on that scope, and they DO wtty them, no questions asked. Something is up with that one... Not common at all.
-
SO, anymore details on how this combo is working?
-
Gotta find out what KE Arms is using for dimensions. Fastest way to gain that info will be a phone call directly to them. Find out what pattern or standard they are basing their 80% lower on. Welcome aboard - as you've seen, these ain't AR15s. There is no set standard, no set pattern to follow, and some manufacturers (PSA specifically) have been doing their own thing.
-
Isn't this the same setup you have, brother? Whatever yours is, I shot the SHIIT out of that thing, and loved it!!!

Back in the day, MagPul didn't make grips. I had an Ergo on my M4A1 that went on a couple deployments with me. This was around 2002/2003. They're good.

This is my philosophy, as well. I don't care where the brass goes, as long as it gets out of my rifle, and the next round chambers. If your BCG is going too fast (which will tear up parts in the long run), then you'll have malfunctions related to that. If you're not having malfunctions, then the BCG is doing what it's supposed to be doing, as far as speed goes. It's a "range," not an exact speed. You chase some ghosts trying to find a "perfect ejection pattern" in these things. You'll also spend alot of money on parts that you don't need (adjustable gas blocks, for one), and you'll have a pile of parts left over that will build a perfectly functioning "next" rifle. I've seen that pie chart, that shows ejection patterns - that's all based off AR15 stuff. Sure the Large Frame ARs are the bigger brother, but they're not totally identical. I wouldn't worry where the brass is landing, in a clock position - just that the rifle functions, and the brass is getting out, and the next round is chambering.

I ended up poking around again on LaRue's website, and found a $100 discount on a rail system I've been wanting. Imagine that. http://www.larue.com/larue-tactical-ar15-132-handguard-lt15-132

MagPul PRS. Luth-AR MB series.

There is no reason at all that this would not work. It will. Just make accurate measurements on both systems, or the internal depth. Correct spacer length will equal the difference between the two internal depths. Diameter of the material should be 1". You can make it tight fit if you want, and take the diameter up a little. You can always punch the spacer out from the end, if you needed to remove it.

Awesome skills with the camera, man. Excellent. The AR kicks as$ too -

Just my luck, too - my LaRue rail is on sale right now. Gawd Daymit.

Damnit. I wish the timing was right for me on this one, but it is not to be. Not right now... http://faxonfirearms.com/20-heavy-fluted-5-56-nato-rifle-length-416-r-stainless-steel-qpq-black-nitride/ Fuk me, that's a damn great deal.
