  1. ^^^ Itchy trigger finger... <lmao>
  2. Those two that I posted are 5.56 barrels, man - just listed them for an example of the weight, and the .308 barrels will be heavier than those weights listed. <thumbsup>
  3. The spring that came with the Slash buffer would have been the Armalite EA1095. That's the one you need. <thumbsup>
  4. This "not the newest guy" is working out alright, already... <lmao> Post a pic of your upper receiver, man - you have that giant-high DPMS bastard?
  5. Thread started 4 years 5.5 months ago... <thumbsup>
  6. Airhorn. Small marine airhorn. Works everytime.
  7. AR45. Ran it for years on the Oly special mag through a standard lower, but didn't like the capacity - the Oly mag is single stack. Just switch over - finally - to the CNC Guns dedicated lower and Grease Gun mags. Blowback operated - not gas. Runs like a champ.
  8. Nah, I'm asking for a weird barrel, that's for sure. .338 Fed, 1:10 twist, 14.5" long, AR15 midlength gas system, medium-weight contour, but 0.750" at the gas block. It doesn't get much weirder than that one... <lmao> I don't mind the wait at all - the other quote was up to 12 weeks. When I cancelled, it wasn't even started yet. I HOPE it takes 8 weeks, from next week - I need time to get all the other parts together. Right now, I only have stripped upper, stripped lower, and a rail... <laughs>
  9. ^^^ YUP!!! Exactly what I was going to link in here, for the BCG. I cancelled my barrel order for the .338 Fed barrel, for where I was going to get it from. I wasn't super-excited about the manufacture of it. i called Dustin at X-Caliber today, and went through the details of what I wanted - he said no problem. I'd have a wait of 6~8 weeks on it. I asked if I could send a bolt to be headspaced to the barrel build, and again, no problem. Next week I'll pick up a DWilsonMfg complete BCG, and sent the stripped bolt out to X-Caliber.
  10. Domination. Straightup domination. :hethan:
  11. I think you have to be Rob-Ron, now. Welcome aboard, fellow AZ'er! <thumbsup>
  12. THAT doesn't happen often - great score!
  13. I'm thinking the rifle doesn't like the MagTech 150gr stuff.
  14. I've got two 20" Heavy 5.56 barrels - and they is heavy. The YHM is 4140 and comes in at 3.33 lbs. The RRA is stainless and weighs the same-ish. Walking around with a 20" 5.56 rifle is a PITA - I don't want to do it with a .308 AR. If I have to hump a .308 like that, I'd rather carry a damn M60.
  15. Just the 20" heavy barrel is 5lbs. Not gonna be a light one when it's done, that's for sure.
  16. Okay, that complicates it - you do need the complicated $hit on this one... my bad... <lmao> You'll need the adjustable gas and the heavy buffer for the suppressor. Try another 150gr setup over the MagTech stuff. See if it runs on something different, but of equal weight. Did you get Slash's spring with his buffer, or is it a DPMS .308 spring?
  17. The Dutch AR10 above? The charging handle is inside the carry handle...
  18. Get the scope as low as possible to the barrel bore centerline, and don't worry about the front sight post - if that's your concern. At 2 or 3x magnification, you won't even see the front sight post anyway - the scope is already focused way beyond that thing. Won't appear in your vision, at all.
  19. 308 posts = not a faker. <thumbsup>
  20. Damn, that was quick - this was the fixed-power scope, right?
  21. Chris, I just noticed on your website that the rails have different-patterned barrel nuts, for DPMS-type, too (not just Armalite threading). I'll be picking up another one of the rails for a previous AP set I bought, coming up soon. I like this rail, man - it's a good one. <thumbsup>
  22. Fuk, good job ramping that carrier, man! :hethan:
  23. I've got a Ciener-design unit. Never gave me issues. It's the older phosphated design, before they ever offered the stainless thing. Once broken in (and that was a requirement for the phosphated ones), it runs flawlessly, if you run the right-powered .22LR ammo in it. Don't run any subsonic, low powered ammo - run some 40gr 1100-fps stuff, or above in velocity. Should run like a champ. EDIT - It's a dedicated .22 AR now. I quit taking the adapter out, and only use it for .22 now.
  24. ^^^ Updates on that statement tomorrow. <thumbsup>
  25. Just for clarification. A Double Feed is only ONE thing. It's two live rounds trying to enter the chamber at the same time. A Double Feed is ALWAYS magazine related. If you didn't have two live rounds trying to get into the chamber at the same time, then you didn't experience a Double Feed malfunction. Lot's of people say this, and to diagnose it, the details need to be accurate. One live and one spent isn't a Double Feed malfunction - it's a failure to eject. Different remedies for different malfunctions, man... <thumbsup>
