Let them soak in the denatured alcohol for 30 minutes, made sure I wire-tied them before going in the vat. Extracted them with the wire ties and made sure I didn't touch them. Gassed them out at 170 degrees for 30 minutes, let them cool, and shot the cerakote. Baked them at 170 degrees for 2 hours. Removed them and hung them until they were room temp, and assembled. Worked like a champ. No issues whatsoever with them. Cerakote goes on so damn thin, it doesn't affect any clearances... <thumbsup> Baked an EOTech 512 twice, too, at 170 degrees, a few hours each time. It still works, to this day. THAT surprised me... <lmao>

Same profile as standard grip panels - not different, thickness-wise. Hell of alot grippier, though. There are two different versions - one set has the little MagPul emblems on them, for grip, just like the standard pistol grips and the vertical grip. This set I got had more grip. Gettin' a little warm to grill around here. So, fire up the crock pot and let it do it's thing. 7lb seasoned pork shoulder, sliced potatoes, carrots, onions and garlic, celery, mushrooms and small peppers. Smother the pork shoulder in a can of cream of mushroom soup, toss in everything else, crank it up to high and don't stop until you put a fork in the pork shoulder and it falls apart. Yum.

Complete parts kits, cerakoted FDE? Nope, nothing you can select and put in a cart. Several companies will cerakote anything you anna send them, though. Worth some research and a call.

Infantry always should have had them, without a doubt. However, because the M4A1 started going to the infantry, doesn't mean "Regular Army is getting the M4A1." It would help this discussion if you had a clue as to what you were talking about. Your confusion is the whole reason it got to this point. This is your comment from before, with your link from before - and I did read the article, before I made my comment.

Hey Farkle, this is what the rollmark looks like on the Regular Army M4 Carbines. The Army firearms just don't start with the "LE" serial number... Look at that rollmark closely - it doesn't say "M4A1" on it... The SN on my issued M4A1 was W318708. Still have the weapons card for it. Someone else is probably using that carbine right now, at Fort Lewis. <thumbsup>

If you want to get really tricky, and you need a knot that is super-secure, but easy to untie... Then never, ever use a Figure 8 knot. That fucker, once tension is put on it, is damn hard to untie. In any instance where you think a Figure 8 knot is the way to go - slap yourself. Tie a Wireman's Knot instead. It's 4 interlocking bights onto itself, non-slip in any direction, and is easy to untie. Break just one bight free, and the rest of the knot comes undone easily. Thus endeth the knot sermon... Lemme know if you need video demonstrations.
