  1. ^^^ I bought a Tomahawk - but you're turning into a greedy white guy... <lmao>
  2. .311" vs .308", 4 mil shorter on the case, non-tapered case, load 30 in a 30 round issued mag, barrel change ONLY is required to run it... It's more than 7.62x39, brother.
  3. I'm all about that, all the time. Fire Form that thing, and get it to the press! :hethan: So many buddies in the range, "Oh, my ammo dented and it's not safe to shoot now..." :'( Gimme that thing. Single it into a mag, drop bolt, BOOM. Now, that's MY brass you chickenshit. <lmao>
  4. That's cheaper than you can reload it. Too bad that stuff requires a few extra steps to reload (primer pockets need reworked, hard).
  5. Mine arrives at the FFL Monday. I'll pick it up Tuesday. Pics shortly thereafter. <thumbsup>
  6. Too late. It always looks thicker when you're the one looking at it. Yeah, that $hit just happened... <laughs>
  7. 6.8 was tested. Then came 300BLK. Really, that happened.
  8. Why did it take the Gun Media an additional two years to even mention the rifle, then? It was not introduced as the "LR-308," either. That is false. How is it that the NRA Museum Magazine first mentioned this rifle in their April 2004 edition? How is that? Are you telling me it took the NRA three years to publish information about this rifle?... http://www.nramuseum.org/media/365273/Apr%2004.pdf Ironically, in 2004, they stated it was the Panther 308. Imagine that.
  9. Same here. Blessed with the assignments, and VERY blessed with the people that were in those units.
  10. Hey .308 Lover, shoot an email to Mark Delmont, and ask him about that "5049th USAR Infantry School." Where was that unit headquartered, and who was the Parent Unit? Since that pic is IN his testimonial, in the manner he phrased it in - one would ASS-ume that it's him with that shirt on... Shepherd Scopes certainly makes it look that way.
  11. I know that - he said it. Then you had to go and post a pic of a nitrided BCG... <lmao>
  12. Oh, he eventually started talking to me again. He sent me a PM, and said "I don't think I've ever seen someone use "Vagisil" in a personal insult..." Let me dig up the PM and I'll post it... oh, wait, I can't access my Personal Messenger... <laughs>
  13. It IS my fault, and I'll take the fall. You see, this one time... Well, this one time... Actually, the last time I went absolutely apeshit on someone here, Drew had a very involuntary reaction when he saw it the next morning, and he lost it so bad he $hit out a rabid monkey... and ended up in the hospital. I'd been warned not to do that, and I said I wouldn't, and I completely went batshit on the public board. It caused Drew to lose control of his bowels in a violent manner. I've since sworn i would never do it again, and I think I'm doing okay with that. Drew wouldn't talk to me for awhile (I think he was in recovery), and every ganged up on me and hit me with more warning points. And here we are... :ecs:
  14. Only because you're being such a fucking smartass, Mike. It was already stated the GRIP holds the takedown detent and spring in place. That's on DPMS, Fulton, Aero, and a metric $hit-ton of others. Here's another pic that shows it - you can SEE the two springs, right?... You worry me, bro - I've found out two things about you tonight. 1. You need to build more Big ARs. 2. You need glasses. THICK motherfuckin' glasses. "So thick you can see the future" kinda glasses... <lmao>
  15. That last one is truly perfect. <thumbsup>
  16. Just because it's less coils doesn't mean it's a lighter spring. Wire diameter is the greatest factor in spring strength.
  17. NiB is a coating, brother. Nitride isn't a coating, though. That stuff in your example pics is nitrided - and that doesn't increase any dimensions.
  18. Feerel Idiot. That's what we saw...
  19. Microstamping was the start. This SmartGun $hit won't go anywhere - at least not anytime soon. Hopefully, not in my lifetime. By the time I'm gone, I should have enough to pass down to the generations.
  20. I can't access my personal messenger. Either.
  21. Hell no. You'll all wind up in a group pic in pink tanktops... I'm warning you now. You guys better conduct a background check on Ed before he leaves his residence... :bat:
  22. I'm well aware of that. Long-time Varget loader - when I could find it, in the not-too-distant past. 44.0 is the max listed in the Hornady 9th edition, running that 168 at 2600fps, and that data is for 165 and 168s. I run 44.0 Varget under Hornady 150gr FMJBTs, and it's pushing the edge of flattening primers.
  23. Who were you addressing that comment to?...
  24. He did that already, brother. See below. I'm with Mack on this - different caliber might have something to do with it. More detail on the barrels is necessary here. Like, post direct links to the barrels purchased, from the dealers websites - not pics of the barrels. Manufacturers links, when I would go to add them to my cart...
