    Not "unpainful." Chemical cauterization.
  2. I'm sharing that one at work... <lmao>
  3. Yep, with heat-cure Cerakote, you vary the amount of Hardener in the paint mix in order to vary the level of "Flat/Semi/Gloss" outcome.
  4. That was funny, coming from you... <lmao> THAT was fucked up... you can go eat a bowl of dicks, and snack on a bag of smashed a$sholes... :fawkdance:
  5. HELL YEAH!!! Damn glad to see you back, Pat!!! :ecs: Gawd Dammit, Rob, quit falling down... :bat: I think... I think... I think... alot. I think your name is already out there, to those that know. I think we need to get your name out there to everyone else... ...And start a 308AR/AR15 Armorer's course. YOU are the credentials, brother. YOU are the Armorer's School. Grad Certs read: Pat Raley's AR Armorer's Course. You know that will work, but it take's time to mainstream your name. Those in the know already know you, so run a few courses, in places that make geographic sense. Start small, with 3 a year, 4 a year, just in your spare time - literally. No $hit, it won't take long to make it bigger than that. You'll never have to travel overseas, just CONUS. Hell, you can even avoid places you dislike, and only hit the places you like - people will travel. Pat: "What am I supposed to do with my life?..." Jim Morrison: "You should build an AR Armorer's Course, Pat..." Pat: "How am I gonna get the students to come?..." Jim Morrison: "If you book them, they will come..." You need to market YOU, brother. Nobody in this industry can do what YOU can do, or has the history that YOU do, man. That's no BS. I'll even lay down money that if you book something close to Idaho, we can get a weird naked Indian to the course... <lmao>
  6. Right now? Rainier. Oh, and POF. I'm hoping Faxon Firearms gets one going - if not, I'll be cutting one down.
  7. Looks like 0.020" - at least. Shave it, and it'll run. <thumbsup> I'd like to see a measurement from yours - my AP catch actually touches the upper when closing and pinning, and it moves it a little - but not enough to engage the catch on the bolt face and hold the bolt back. Thickness on mine (measured diagonally, so the vernier caliper doesn't slip into a groove on the face) is 0.165".
  8. I'll let you know shortly - since I already have a modded AR10B catch I can toss straight in it. <thumbsup> Better just get the set, anyway, since it available like this right now. If you need to run a modded part, I'll figure out what it is, mod it for you, and meet you on the range with it. :)) Chris - 11.5" rail won't be a problem for me, either - this is gonna be my short-gun build.
  9. PAT!!! Good to see you around again, brother!!! :happydrunks: Hell yeah, man!
  10. Looking closer at the receiver set, it looks like Aero Precision is doing the hardware handiwork. <thumbsup>
  11. Blackthorne/Vulcan/Hesse, and now there's another new name that they have, too. Can't remember what it is, but it deals with subguns. Found it: Velocity Firearms. That's their new one. Stay the fuk away from all of them. akpartskits.com is another web address that takes you right to them. Not worth the headaches, or the potential personal injury...
  12. They've got their watermark in the pics, identical to their logo - looks like there's logos all over that thing, but there's really not when you look past the picture watermarks. They did it right with that set - and the precision tolerances that they have for the 5.56 upper are fantastic. I'm sure these sets are held to the same tolerances.
  13. Never should have given them the shotgun... :ugone2far:
  14. I will say their UltraMatch Billet 5.56 Upper Receiver is badass - I have two of those.
  15. They did finally get it going - but I'm claiming "Product Announcement" for awhile... http://www.rainierarms.com/rainier-arms-ultramatch-billet-upper-ambi-lower-combo-set-308
  16. They may have switched suppliers - and that is causing this. I'd think, though, that this is a part they make in-house. Hell, I don't think they send anything out, except for the barrels. The AP catch I have works fine. I changed it out on a whim - just like the Armalite catches. I guess I need to put up pics here.
  17. Damn, that just hit today - good stuff!
  18. Hey PalRider (intentional spelling)... Check THIS out...
  19. Email sent, to both addresses listed. Upper/Lower/Handguard requested. <thumbsup>
  20. As stated above, Cerakote has two common flavors. C-Series is the high-temp stuff, up to 1200 degrees, and it's air cure, not oven cure. You would need to use C-Series on barrels, suppressors, muzzle devices, optics, headers on the car/truck, etc. The H-series is the bake-on stuff. Works for everything that doesn't requite a high-heat coating, i.e., all other firearm parts not listed above. I've used both, and like both. I've oven-cured the C-Series before, and it doesn't harm it. The Cerakote C-Series Ambient Cure Ceramic Coatings are designed to protect both metal and non-metal substrates. Additonally, the C-Series Ambient Cure Ceramic Coatings are formulated to withstand extreme temperatures (~1200*F) without discoloring. This makes the coating ideal for exhausts, pistons and other components for high temperature systems. C-Series Ambient Cure Ceramic Coatings maintain excellent adhesion even after repeated thermal cycling. These coatings provide superior protection against corrosive environments and thermal shock. In addition to performance, the C-Series Ambient Cure Ceramic products are designed for ease of application. Each product is VOC exempt and cures quickly at room temperature. The coatings are tack free after 40 minutes, dry after 24 hours, and 100% cure after 5 days. C-Series Ceramic Coatings are currently available in several metallic and non-metallic finishes at different gloss levels. Hit this pdf for the differences in the types - there's more than C and H Series. Cerakote Product Series Guide.pdf
  21. Awesome recommendation - thank you, brother! Watched it tonight... They should NOT have taken his car... <thumbsup>
  22. Wow.
  23. Sweet jesus, that sounds like underground rave code for some 8-foot triple headed jelly dong... <lmao>
  24. Good attitude. Now figure out some t-shirts. <thumbsup>
