Best explanation out there: http://www.armalite.com/images/Tech%20Notes%5C2015%5CTechNote101.pdf

I think they said it was a "3-foot double-headed jelly dong," or something very similar to that... <lmao>
-
You're good. The dimple in the barrel is EXACTLY opposite of the center of the gas port on the barrel. The rear set screw hole on the gas block is EXACTLY opposite of the center of the gas port in the gas block. You can't be more centered than that. Have zero fear that your gas block is lined up exactly over the gas port in the barrel. Zero fear. Have you checked headspace yet?

I support this statement. <thumbsup>

weight of the dpms Cancellation Brake
98Z5V replied to double malt's topic in DPMS Panther Arms LR-308 | Bushmaster 308
This brake comes installed on the rifle? Best way to find out is to remove it, weigh it, and report back. <thumbsup> Based on the question - this is all you, now... <lmao> "The Rule," in a way... -
Did you know that pics were passed around, via PMs?... <lmao>

There would be too much liability in using handloads for LE work. I can only imagine the lawsuits now... That's the very reason I only carry factory ammunition in carry-weapons. No handloads. That way, it would never, ever be "another factor" in a trial down the road...
-
Just remember - It's all fun-n-games until you piss off a Larry... :bat: <lmao>

You should find a way to do just ONE of the rifles, and shoot them altogether. When they try to figure out WTF happened, THEN you drop the news on them... <lmao>

If they classify every operation that people want to question him about, and he's no longer serving in that agency, then his Non Disclosure Agreement prevents him from talking about any of those operations for 80 years after he is read-off (no longer has access to his security-cleared status). Same schit they did to David Patreaus, just to keep him from talking about Benghazi. Literally. The only way around that is to have the person read-on again (given access in a securty-cleared status), and have classified inquiries by Congress. Not gonna happen. This administration knows what it's doing - and you can bet your ass it's this administration that's doing it, pulling all the strings.

Thought I'd grab these screenshots before they disappear. It's ironic that they still list B. Todd as the "Acting Director." In the meantime, here's stuff on Brandon: http://www.ticklethewire.com/tag/thomas-brandon/ PDF was available, titled "Feb 27, 2014 - Statement of Thomas E. Brandon, Deputy Director. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. U.S. Department of Justice." Click the link, wait for awhile, and you get "SIte Under Maintenance" - how convenient. http://judiciary.house.gov/?a=Files.Serve&File_id=D92B077A-CE92-4752-822D-6F77DD4476AC Bloomberg doesn't list his specific assignments, prior to October 2011. Just "various." Of course. http://www.bloomberg.com/profiles/people/17459254-thomas-e-brandon Here's a statement from ATF, on him. Link to it is here: https://www.atf.gov/content/atf-announces-b-todd-jones-depart Says he wasn't in Phoenix until March 2011... Brandon has more than 26 years of experience with ATF. Prior to his appointment as Deputy Director, Brandon served as the special agent in charge of the Phoenix field division beginning in March 2011, and special agent in charge of the Detroit field division from January 2008 until his assignment to Phoenix. ...so, if he wasn't in Phoenix when F&F happened, he was assigned there in March 2011. USBP Agent Brian Terry was killed by the F&F-walked AK in December 2010. Brandon is assigned in March 2011. Brandon, as Deputy Director, is later in charge of who will be punished, not punished, fired (nobody was fired), etc... Screenshots I grabbed, while they're still fresh:

I wouldn't even bother - just lube it up real well and shoot a few hundred through it. It'll be good after that. Probably won't even take that much.
-
A barrel change and trigger change would make your crop of SR-25s completely different performers.

I shitcanned all my RCBS lockrings for the Hornady lock rings - best thing I ever did. You're definitely on the perfectly right track with that. You can get the Hornady lockrings in a 6-pack, and they're much cheaper that way.
-
That's for awakening an 11-month old post for no reason... <lmao> You rocked it. <thumbsup> :hethan:

This gun lube is REAL. It's a planned release in conjunction with Criterion. You guys are behind the times, and need to get in on the pre-order.
-
^^^ There's so many that I need, I won't be able to afford them all. They're worse than guns. However, I AM buying this fucker right here and wearing it to work.
-
I'm sure they still do... <lmao> They make dump pouches so damn big that they'd fuk you up if you tried to swim with them open... <laughs>

I never had a "garbage" M16 or M4 in my 2 decades in the military. I'd be interested in hearing about your garbage rifles/carbines, and learning something about your units - and unit armorers, mostly. I've built lots of forged ARs while still in the military, and since leaving, and they're just fine - built billet ones, too. They function the same. Billet doesn't make it better, in any way, unless it's adding another capability, like an ambi bolt release. At any rate, welcome aboard.
-
That fucker kicks HARD!...
-
On another note - I always could count on mil-issue Nomex flight gloves. Those were my go-to gloves for many, many, many deployments and exercises.
-
That's what dump pouches are for. Under stress, you can only rely on gross motor skills. Don't complicate schit with complicated schit.
-
ungood. BeforeObummer was much more gooder... <lmao>
-
 That's awesome... <lmao> Fully Inspected, 'cause you guys said they were the SAME! :bat: <laughs> Excellent, my man! <thumbsup>

Well, this is not really a "money-saving" platform. What other options besides VLTOR? Do you HAVE to use the AR15 buffer in your .308 AR? Use a DPMS LR308 Carbine buffer. You can find them cheap, at many sources. Put on several different brands of AR15 carbine receiver extensions. You have lots of choices - MANY. I think you're all wrapped around the axle about a specific setup. If you MUST use that setup, then I get it. If you don't know what your options are, then look around more.
