To Scope or Not to Scope That is the Question!!

Hello to everyone from KOOL KOLORFUL KOLORADO, just signed up and am eager to learn all I can, I just received my Ruger SR762 so far just love this gun!! My question is whether or not to scope it. I have an AR15 battle ready with a nice small optic on in which I can go to or still be able to use my irons. I can see that with the 10 my options open up immensely I think I know the answer to fully use this guns capability a scope would be best its just that to use its max potential it will require a large scope.  Any suggestions would be great maybe something I am overlooking with this weapon.  TX

The nice thing about scopes and ARs is they come right off if they get in the way.

Quick release mounts are your friends.

might be able to get away with a nice 1-6x. can still shoot out a ways.

I have a few $$$$ to spend, I am just not sure I want something that large on the gun. But love the idea of reaching out to someone at 600 to 800 yards. I do have a bolt .308 that is at the 1000yd.

P.S. the Nikon M-308 already comes with a mount. A good mount but not something you can take off and re-mount without re-zeroing.

I really hate to not use the 10 to its fullest capability so I have gone with a half way good optic, the American Defense quick release should make it so that if I need to use my irons I could.  Pretty funny post Merchant!

Thank you everyone for the welcome, after shooting this gun I kick myself for not getting a 10 before now, so hard to put it down.
